After having issues with a different contractor earlier in the year, we were looking for a deck builder that was detail oriented and responsive. Jay and his team were everything we needed and more right from the start. The quality of the work was excellent, and looked exactly like the agreed upon 3D model that was provided during the quote phase. Work was completed in a timely manner, and the only minor delay was communicated in advance and explained why it happened. Even though it was late in the season when I requested a quote (mid-September), work was started and completed before snow hit the ground. Overall, would absolutely recommend Jay for any deck or fence project.

We wanted a new deck and to add a new concrete pad where we had some weeds growing up between patio stones. Company was comparable to others in terms of price, but the deciding factor was that they could handle doing both the concrete and the deck without me having to coordinate the two groups. In the end this was a bad reason to choose the company. The deck portion would have been about $21000, concrete was $4000. Work was delayed due to weather understandably, as we had rain for most of June and July. Finally the concrete got underway, and soon enough it became clear that the company would say something would happen on a specific day and then not show up for 1, 2, 3 days or more in some cases without explanation or a revised start time, unless you contacted them asking where people were. Another delay was caused by the concrete not being ready to start the work on the planned day (which had been decided more than a week in advance), and having to wait another 2 weeks after demolishing the existing concrete before the new pad could be poured. No explanation or apology was given for this delay. Honestly if they just would have been more proactive in telling me about delays, I would have had much less issues with the company, as I understand that delays happen in the construction industry. But to say you are going to show up on Monday, and then not show up until Wednesday or Thursday with no heads up, explanation, or apology was very frustrating. And it happened many times throughout the process. Ultimately we had to fire Scott and the company when it became apparent the work would not be able to be done before mid September. The concrete honestly turned out very well in the end, but I cannot make any comment on the quality of their deck construction as we never got to that point. Would not recommend this company to anyone based on poor communication.

From the beginning, I felt that Slava cared about my needs as a customer and wasn't just trying to quote me the most expensive windows I would pay for. I had received a couple other quotes for my windows, and Window Mart was the most competitive, while also making me feel like they were genuinely trying their best to provide me the best service, even if it meant they weren't making top dollar. Slava was very responsive to my questions, answering immediately, or letting me know he needed to find out and telling me when he would return with the information (which he did). Once I paid the deposit and confirmed the worder, there was a minor confusion that occurred as we approached the installation date. I had asked for an install date and was given one, but I wasn't told at that time that it was a "soft" date as the windows themselves could still be delayed (which happens). However, I wasn't called to let me know that the "soft" date had changed when there was a delay, and I forgot to call them to confirm. It resulted in a bit of an inconvenience in me having to move back a bunch of furniture, but Window Mart was very apologetic and went out of their way to make amends, providing me with a gift card for the trouble. The day of the installation, the installers arrived exactly when I was told they would be there. I was told to expect 1 or 2 days for the install, and they were done by 730 pm that night. We did a walk through and everything looked great, they even vacuumed up any mess that they had left, we just needed to do a bit of dusting afterward. The only thing we noted that needed to be addressed was some minor drywall damage around the top edges of some of the frames. The installer went to all the affected windows and used caulking to fill in the gap, which we painted over once it was dry and it was just like new. Overall, very happy to work with Window Mart and I would recommend them to anyone!
