Our deck boards, posts and 20 year old pergola needed repair as the wood was rotting due to time and moisture. Dale gave us an estimate for repair, adding that hidden damage may necessitate a higher cost. Jim and John did the repairs brilliantly, being very careful to not damage an old hydrangea that was enveloping the pergola. They recommended repairing the bottom of the deck posts with a thicker PVC than at first estimated and reinforced the trim. The rotten deck boards were replaced and later stained. Although the finished work was more expensive than at first estimated, it was a first class job. Jim and John were great at troubleshooting some very picky work on the pergola and deck posts and the final product was painted and stained by Brian, again, a great job. Brian even did some small trim painting where the paint or stain had lifted due to the repair. We have used Absolute on 4 occasions for repairs, deck cleaning, deck restaining and other smaller jobs. They are fantastic to work with and their craftspeople are top notch, from painters to repairpersons. We have no hesitation in recommending this company highly.

We had a high efficiency furnace installed together with an A/C unit (replacing an AC from 1981) From Ryan's first visits (thanks for the advice on where to position the AC) and followup to the installation by Steve and Jimmy, (and thanks to Trevor for the thermostat install) the work went flawlessly and was done in a timely and professional manner. The entire group at Appleby is helpful and friendly to deal with. Steve and Jimmy know their work extremely well, exhibited humorous repartee when working and came back to complete the job of removing the old AC quuickly. We have used Appleby since 1981 and will continue to use their excellent services. They are a credit to this industry.

We had Absolute strip, sand and refinish our deck in Aug 2017. The weather last summer was raining and delays were frequent. The Absolute team did not rush to do the job due to the wet weather and waited until conditions were more favourable. They did a great job and kept us informed of any anomalies in the job. They were patient, even though we had trouble deciding on a stain (semi or solid) and were extremely professional in their demeanor. This review has taken so long due to wondering how the stain took in the damp weather of 2017 and it has held up well despite the challenges of less than ideal conditions. Highly recommended; we will use them for future jobs. Dale also repaired a section of deck stairs that had badly rotted due to poor foundation work. The work he did was exceptional and his workmanship made the stairs look brand new. He even repaired a wonky latch on a gate and made some excellent recommendations. First rate work! Special mention to Aly and her team who did a great job on the restaining of the deck - and her patience in recommending a stain that we are happy with.
