AVIOD LIKE A PLAGUE!! I visited the Crown Floors and Décor Mississauga location on March 11, 2022 to shop for the tiles for our bathroom renovation project. The sales Rep Ms. Simran was very helpful and knowledgeable in assisting us and showing around the options we may have, impressed by the professionalism of the Ms. Simran, on March 17th along with my contractor I visited the store again to make the purchase. This time the store Manager Ms. Pooja assisted us during our transaction. We told Ms. Pooja that we needed to buy the tiles in size 32x64, she told us that there is only one tile on display in store in the size we want then MS. Pooja showed us the pictures of the tiles they have in the back of the store in our size and said these tiles are very heavy to bring out to show us, but she assured us that if we like the design of the tile then she can deliver them in our size the next day. Me and my contractor were very specific about the size of tiles and Ms.Pooja assured us that the size we are looking for will be the size of tiles they will deliver. Based on her assurance and nothing to second-guess her intent we made the purchase and paid $3053.60 including $80 to deliver on March 16 and on March 17 the store delivered the tiles. March 18, we had three installers along with my contractor come on site to install the tiles. At first they discovered that the metal tile trims shipped were mismatched so my contractor went to the store to have to replace them. While starting the installation process after mixing the cement, one of the installers informed me that the tiles are of wrong size 29x64” and does not fit the intended application. When we discovered this error we immediately went to the store and spoke with Ms.Pooja, and discussed with her that they shipped the wrong tiles, initially her response was no problem we can exchange them. However, she said they don’t have the size we were looking for and they can refund the money if I bring the wrong size tiles back to the store, on which I said I cannot transport the heavy tiles and they have to be picked by the store as they deliver the wrong size tiles. The agreement was made that the store will pick the tiles from my house on Monday March 21 and issue the refund; this was also confirmed with the Crown floors sales rep Ms. Simran after she consulted with the store manager Ms. Pooja and the store owner in the back of the store. In addition to wasting one bag of cement, we had to pay three installer’s wages of amount $600 for the day as they were waiting for us while we were trying to resolve the issue with the store. When I called on Monday March 21 afternoon to inquire about when they are going to pick the tile, to my surprise Ms. Pooja said they are not going to honor the returns and all sales were final. March 21 I also tried to call the store multiple times to speak with the owner but was not successful, I also visited the store to resolve the issue and again told my store manager Ms. Pooja that nothing can be done. March 22 I spoke with the store owner / manager Baljeet Kinda two times, basically she mentioned she spoke with Ms. Pooja and they sent the size I requested, when I said I have two witness who can vouch for my original request (my contractor and Crown employee Ms. Simran) on which she said Ms. Simran no longer works for Crown and that there is nothing that can be done, as it will cost them money to refund my purchase, and she will get back to me after she discusses this issue with some other owner.
