We found AC electrical from the website of the Electrical Safety Authority (ESA). Their office is in the proximity to our house, they have received excellent reviews, and their communication with us was professional, so we decided to move forward with hiring them to review and correct all issues in the electrical work left behind from our basement renovation nightmare where the previous contractor subcontracted the electrical to an unlicensed electrician, did not pull out any required permits, and left the electrical faulty and incomplete.
AC electrical took out all required permits (provided me the permit code), provided the license number of the electrician assigned to us (Abraham) so we could check the license was in good standing, and began reviewing the electrical work in our basement aware of all the deficiencies identified by the ESA inspector. I have to mention AC electrical's office manager Jenelle who was a superstar in communication and sorting out logistics (e.g. arranging ESA inspections, or electrician visits).
When preparing the quote, Nick forgot to include the charge for an exhaust fan timer which we had discussed will be included in the quote during his on-site visit. Upon notifying AC electrical that the timer had not been installed after Abraham completed the work, Nick immediately accepted that he did indeed agree to install the timer but had forgotten to add it in the quote. Without any questions asked he went on to install the timer without any additional charges and honoring the original quote.
AC electrical even agreed to receive payment of the outstanding balance after the ESA approval certificate was provided, which we highly appreciated.
