I have a bungalow in Scarborough that I use as a rental unit. The house was without power for some time due to construction work. As the winter approached, I completed the work and needed to reconnect power ASAP. Jerry was very accomodating as he offered to come in on a Sunday to assess the electrical panel and make some repairs. He was friendly, courteous and took the time to explain to me what needed to be done and why. I would certainly call on him again if needed in the future.

Last month I hired electropro to diagnose a problem I was having in my renovated basement. The company came highly recommend from several friends, as well as home stars, which made my wife and I very comfortable. I had renovated my basement ten years ago and had a certified electrician wire the basement, but I have come to the realization that all electricians are not created equally. Jerry came to my home the same day I called because I had told him that I smelt something burning and my breakers kept tripping. Within two hours Jerry had uncovered the problem and explained the situation with incredible patients and in a language that I could understand. He was very courteous and thorough when explaining everything he was going to do and its cost. Jerry rewired the entire basement and changed all the wiring from copper back to aluminum because the previous electrician had not taken into consideration that the whole house was done in aluminum. He also rewired and added more breakers to the electrical panel to safely hold the appropriate wattage, added 20 pot lights and changed all the switches in my home to help modernize the look of my house. My wife and I were very pleased with the work that Eletropro had done, they were clean, fast, respectful and charged much less then the first electrician who did half the amount of work Jerry did. Therefore, I would highly recommend Eletropro to anyone looking for a highly skilled and knowledgeable electrician.

I wanted to have smoke and carbon monoxide detectors installed on all levels of the home that were electrically wired to the home instead of only battery operated. I also needed them interconnected so that if the basement detector went off then the others would signal as well. Living in an older home with lathe and plaster can be a challenge for renovation projects, including wiring jobs, but Jerry used the correct tools to install the system and it didn't require special patching after he was done. Thanks for the great job on the porch as well.

We had some additional AC outlets we wanted to add in our condo as well as adding tracking lights, replacing current fixtures, adding chandeliers, moving thermostats, moving AC outlets, fuse box modifications, under cabinet lighting in kitchen..All was done promptly and very professional. Jerry is a pleasure to deal with and his work is incredible!! I would highly recommend Electropro for any job you may have.

I have an older home where the fuses kept blowing and there were not enough fuses to run all the standard appliances. I asked Jerry to install a new panel and add additional fuses. He was great at assessing the situation and recommending what did or did not need immediate work. He had a great work ethic and reworked his schedule so that we would be able to have it complete for when the tenants moved in.

Washer/Dryer outlet stopped working and noticed some other problems with the electrical panel that were potentially dangerous. Jerry came over that evening to fix the problem with the breakers and fixed two outlets as well.

So I bought a new gas stove from a big distributor. They recommended a guy they thought was good. I needed a 220 volt cable (for an electric stove) converted to a 110 volt for a gas stove. Sounds simple. Not to the recommended electrician. I had to buy a "convertor" myself. After calling all the major hardware stores and electric stores (for more than an hour) I was really getting frustrated. "A" told me they didn't carry such a device and to call "B". "B" didn't carry it and told me to call "C". "C" didn't carry it and, after 15 minutes on hold, told me to call "A". You get the picture. "Fine. I'll try another electrician recommended by Homestars," I thought. So I found Jerry at ElectroPro, explained all of the aggravation and he got me on the right path. He summed up the situation in ten seconds, made an appointment for two hours later (of course, there's no guarantee they can *always* be that fast), he came over and took care of the job quickly, efficiently and at a reasonable price.

That's why I like Homestars. I naively think that contractors that are recommended will be competent. When they're not and I'm disappointed, I go to Homestars and find good people.

After months of trying to get my (former) electrician out to quote on running power to my detached garage, I found Jerry on Homestars. He responded the next day, and gave me a quote within 5 days. He worked around the schedule of other contractors, did exactly what he said he would do, arranged for the inspection (passed!).
