I'm a new homeowner and noticed a leak in the flat roof not long after moving in. Contacted Canadian Roofing Co because they mainly work in this area and specialize in these very old homes. It was an all around great experience from beginning to end. Jason provided a lot of useful context info to help me understand how these things work, how we ended up with problems, and how to solve them. Plus great advice for smaller improvements that could be done while the old roof is peeled off (like improving ventilation to our upstairs bathroom). The work looks great and the team cleaned up thoroughly afterward.

The project included full roof repair and shingle replacement on the separate garage and the steeply slopped roof of the house. Due to age all the boards on the garage had to be removed and replaced with appropriate plywood. Ice and water shield membrane was placed around the premier of the roof line and in valleys from eaves to ridge. Synthetics sheathing was installed to the remaining area for added protection. New shingles were installed. The same procedure was done on the roof of the house in the back, front and veranda. The quality of the materials used and the workmanship was superior. We would highly recommend Canadian Roofing Company.

I started with 6 quotes but Darren won me over with a straight forward, respectful and communicative manner. The price was in my budget, the workmanship is excellent and they were willing to accommodate my request to have an independent roofing inspector oversee the work. I most appreciated that Darren and Jason's first response to my request for an inspector was to set up a time to get together in person to chat and explore options and needs as a team. The inspector was impressed with the crew and the work with specific praise for the foreman on the job. Thanks Darren and Jason!

We were extremely pleased with the work done, from beginning to end. Before the work started, Jason explained the quote in great detail. He also discussed the possible additional costs if they had to deal with issues arising from old roofing boards on our century home. When they discovered there were issues, the foreman, Dan, showed us photos of the problem and engaged us in the decision on how to deal with it. Overall, the crew was highly competent and respectful, their work on the roof was meticulous and they cleaned up all debris thoroughly before leaving. The final cost was in line with the original quote adjusted to deal with the old roofing boards. We are very satisfied with the new roof.

Jason and crew are highly competent professionals who are careful and competent in how they work. They are somewhat expensive but you more than get your money's worth.

This company was professional and detail oriented from the moment Jason came by to provide a quote. He was at our house about 2 hours, really taking the time to explain everything. Even though they were at the higher end of pricing, we chose to go with them because we felt we would get the best roof and we were impressed with the care taken to actually go on the roof prior to explaining everything that would be done and why it was needed. The teams that completed the work were very professional, they took the time to answer questions and they cleaned up thoroughly. The amount above was for the shingles and labour for the roof (before tax). Eaves troughs and fascia were around 7000 +HST. The job was completed beautifully and I highly recommend this company.

Effective and fast communication, the team who came to first evaluate the roof found another issue thankfully that we could get fixed at the same time without creating a bigger problem.
