My husband lost his house keys and we decided the safest thing to do was to have all six of the 20 year-old locks rekeyed. I spoke with a John on the phone and we agreed on a time that afternoon. John was on time, polite, and extremely knowledgeable about locks. He rekeyed all six locks within an hour even though the condition of the locks made the work challenging. He also made 5 sets of keys for us that work more easily in the locks than any time in the eleven years we’ve lived in the house.

Two days ago John came by and re-keyed our front door lock. I really enjoyed talking to him. He's a very nice person and very skilled with his hands. Everything was fine when he left. We tried every key and everything worked precisely. This morning as I was leaving and locking the door, I thought maybe something wasn't put together properly, as locking it with the key seemed 'different', it seemed as though I now had to turn it further. Also, upon further inspection, the lock/cylinder seemed 'off kilter', and crooked. I called John and we talked about it, and I was frustrated, and I ended up swearing at him and hanging up the phone. I took a closer look at the situation, and realized that I had to just loosen the screws holding the lock and external trim/bezel and re-center it, and now the lock cylinder was square with the trim. And, upon further reflection, I realized that when locking with the key, it really wasn't different than before. I was having a 'senior' moment. I want to take this opportunity to publicly apologize to John for swearing at him and hanging up on him. I would call him but I'm not sure he'd want to talk to me right now. I was having a bad morning. I was a little annoyed when talking to him on the phone with the fact that I could not finish my sentence a couple of times, and I think that set me off a bit. But that's my only quibble. He has possibly the best review scores as a locksmith on Homestars, and has earned every positive review. John is great at what he does. Came next day after calling and he two locks re-keyed and keys cut in no time! He loves his work. Highly recommend John!

My wife and I bought a house that was turned over in a rough condition including only one working key for one of four exterior doors.

I read reviews about John's business here and thought he sounded great and it turned out he was.

I asked John if he thought he'd be able to change all the locks on all four doors to one single key. He did not overpromise, said he'd try and then came through in spades.

Not only was John able to key all the doors in the house the same he was also to make that same key work for the hinged door to the garage earning major bonus points.

Five doors, one key, and I am feeling almost unreasonably happy with the result.
