I reached out to Jeff with Artic Shield Insulating about adding insulation in my attic before winter. He returned my call within a few hours and was over for a quote 2 days later. He was a lot of help explaining the process and got us on the schedule just a few days later with a day of our choosing. Job went flawlessly, very clean and respectful of our home. I would definitely hire Jeff again.

Don to hire Jeff for anything he is not the professional he boasts he is. He does not stand by his work and has no problem throwing thinly veiled insults in your face if you ever dare question him on anything. We hired him to upgrade our attic insulation and properly vent the bathroom fan. Afterwards he had connected the fan but the motor hummed, did not turn or vent. While he was there he helped free the fan so it turn albeit noisily at first. Eventually I got it turning only to find out it was not venting. Upon reporting this to him he refused to return to rectify the problem and accused me of trying to get him to replace a fan that did not work in the first place and that an electrician could rectify the problem by replacing the fan without entering the attic but that was not his problem. There were other red flags I should have paid more attention to like claiming things he will do but never did and not using a drop sheet.
He never admitted that the blockage was in the work done to attach the ducting to the fan in the attic. I ended up hiring a third party to rectify the problem which turned out to be sealing foam blacking the damper on the fan from opening.
He claimed he had done this work 1000"s of times and mine was the only problem he has ever had. If that was the case he should have realized where the problem lay. Don't believe a word coming from his mouth.

It cost me less than the money I withheld to rectify the problem.

In the process of finding a company to diagnose and fix the problem I talked to two of his competitors who have crossed paths with the man and neither had positive things to say about him and one was aware of Jeff's lack of quality in his work or his willingness to stand behind his work. Both acknowledged that his suppliers do not like the man either.

I reiterate...DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!

Our attic is low slope roof so other attic companies wanted to remove our roof. Jeff gave no firm guarantees, said it was probably do-able, but it would definitely be uncomfortable.... His pricing, communication, and job execution was thorough and top quality. Definitely recommend this company.

The company responded quickly to my request for a quote, explained the services offered, and then provided a timely installation date. On the date of installation they arrived on time and were done within the 5-6 hours suggested. Clean up was excellent. The invoice was for the amount quoted and came with pictures of the installation which was necessary because we are not able to go into the attic. Hopefully, the Greener homes inspector will agree with our assessment.

Jeff was great to deal with. He provided me with a thorough, honest and fair assessment, and explained everything in a professional manner.

The company representatives were on site on time. Carried out the work professionally and very friendly. Responded to my clarification requests. Cleaned the site after the insulation works. Very pleased with their works and would definitely recommend them

We are glad that we chose Arctic Shield to repair and upgrade the attic insulation at our 10 years old house. Before starting the work, Jeff completed a thorough inspection in the attic and clearly explained about the work that needed to be done, based on that a reasonable quote was provided. On the work day, Jeff and his team showed up on time, completed all the insulation work as planned efficiently, and cleaned up the work area afterwards.
