Ivascon Construction

Edit: I will keep my original review below to illustrate just how the project ended up going.

Floors: 3/4 was left unfinished. The 1/4 that was completed had to be torn up because it was done incorrectly and was already coming apart.
Drywall: walls were not flush so trim wasn’t able sit flush to the wall (some areas were up to 4 inches bow from the wall)
Mudding: Left unhanded in parts or tape exposed
Painting: 1/4 left unfinished, lots of noticeable drips that have dried to the wall. Did not clean areas before painting so cob webs are painted and dusty areas are now textured because they were just painted over
Trim: not done at all
Attendance: showed up late( hours) everyday that we had a scheduled start time. Worked approx 2-4 hours a day so the project took way longer than expected.
Payment: Paid in full

To be completely honest, I almost didn't hire Rene. Why? Because it seemed too good to be true. Him and his wife are so kind, communicative, well priced, eager to make you happy and incredibly good at their job. It's hard to believe folks like this exist. Im so glad I hired them. They painted the exterior of our house. Rene was great at giving feedback and opinions of design and problem solving.
I would 100% recommend this amazing team and will be hiring them again for further jobs.

We found Ivascon Contruction online. We tend to go with recommendations from friends and family. However, after having several contractors come by to provide quotes, we wanted one more and after reading Ivascon's reviews, we decided to give them a call. Rene came to our house one evening and we just got a good feeling. We ended up going with our gut and we are so happy we did. Rene is very kind and was in contact with us every step of the way. He made himself available to answer any concerns or questions we had. Gisela came in to do the tapping and she was lovely. In fact, all those who came into our house was so kind, friendly and respectful. Ivascon Construction followed Covid protocols when coming in and out of our house. The price we paid was reasonable and affordable. We highly recommend Ivascon Construction as we would surely hire them again! Very professional and did a fantastic job drywalling, tapping and mudding our basement. We are confident Rene will come any time (not that we anticipate it to happen) if there is something we are not happy with it. Loyal to his customers. We will be recommending Ivascon Construction to anyone looking. We can not stress enough how professional, kind, respectful, hard working and the affordable pricing. Especially during this pandemic with all the prices skyrocketing. Unfortunately, I do not have any pictures to attach to this review as they will not load:(

Very professional company! They are very friendly and truly care about customer satisfaction. If you need to get a job done do not hesitate to contact them. You will not regret choosing this company! Definitely try them out with very reasonable prices. End results are amazing!

Ivascon construction I hired to repair 2 bedroom ceilings and one ceiling on the basement staircase. This involved mudding, priming and painting of the ceilings. They were punctual and actual costs were in line with estimate. Very good work and very nice people and cleaned up afterwards.
I would highly recommend to others.

These guys did an incredible job painting our house, taking great time to do everything RIGHT, stripping old paint down and perfecting every inch as if they were working on their own home. The amount of care that went in to making our house look good was so appreciated - no detail was overlooked. They went above and beyond! Really easy to work and communicate with and very professional in their approach. I would highly recommend them to anyone and am so happy with our end product.

The wall of my room was cracked and the old paint was falling all over the floor. Same thing in the kitchen and 2 other rooms of the second floor. I called a few companies but no one could go with my budget until a friend recommended me to call this company because he had the same problem except it was the living room for him. I spoke to René from Ivascon and understood my needs. They not just only scratch the white yellowish paint from the ceilings and walls but they also repaired other little things that were not part of our contract like the trims from the stairs and my living rooms. Every end of the day, they cleaned everything and took even the construction garbage out after the job was done. Very good, fast work, clean job. Simply professionals.

Rene from Ivascon was such a professional. My original builder stain was aweful. Rene came in, he recapped my 3 flights of stairs, changed my pickets and restained. He did it all in 3 days. He came on time everyday and didn’t leave until the job was perfect. He even fixed an issue with the landing which the original builder didn’t do properly. I will be using him again for my washroom this Spring. He was also very clean and meticulous. I highly recommend Rene and his team.
