We are very happy with our basement renovation by Dmitry and his team at Bedrock Basements! From the start Dmitry demonstrated his knowledge, and expertise in renovating basements. He listened to our dream for our basement, gave helpful suggestions, and made sure we were always on the same page for the design. Dmitry helped guide us through the process every step of the way. He has excellent communication, was very easy to get a hold of, and got back to us right away when we had any questions. Any questions/concerns that we had were answered or solved right away. We were given many options for things such as flooring, trim, doors, paint, etc. Tradespeople were scheduled back to back to speed up the process, and the project was completed within the 4-week projection. The tradespeople were friendly and knowledgeable. They were careful and respectful of our home, and always cleaned up when their job was complete. The final cost of the project was as quoted and on budget. Dmitry and his team take pride in, and stand by, their work. We highly recommend Dmitry and Bedrock basements to our family and friends.

We hired Bedrock Basements out of 5 companies that we asked to submit bids for our project. Dmitry was very knowledgeable, straightforward, and gave us valuable input into our design. He asked for our feedback in the design/rendering stage of the project, and helped us to navigate the permitting process with the municipality. In all stages of construction; demolition, rough-ins, framing, drywall, flooring and finishing, Dmitry was very transparent about any problems, cost overruns, or delays. Interestingly, he was the only one of the contractors we contacted to encourage permitting of the project, which we thought was important.
Bedrock has an excellent catalog of furnishings, fittings, trims, paints and flooring to choose from, and they are categorized in standard and upgraded categories, so you know what youre getting and paying for; most of the choices are submitted by Google forms, making it easy to do.
The project was completed in a timely manner, and were were very happy with the finished project! If I had anything to offer as constructive criticism, I would say that using plastic sheets to seal off the construction area during the plumbing rough-in, and taping/sanding of drywall wouldve made our clean-up of the un-renovated portion of the basement much easier. Other than that, our experience was a good one: his tradesmen are pleasant and efficient, and the attention to detail in the finishing stage was excellent!

We hired Bedrock Basements AGAIN (they finished our basement) to renovate our master bedroom and bath, plus 3 bedrooms on the main floor. Dmitry brings in quality trades people who do good work, pay attention to detail and they also work FAST. Dmitry is responsive, checks in often on the reno, and is trustworthy. His quotes are detailed and accurate, and I like how he shows us a 3D plan of the reno. I would highly recommend Bedrock Basements for their quality work, professionalism, and responsiveness. We found Bedrock Basements from Home Stars. Dmitry was fantastic from the minute we met him. He came in very professional and really prepared. We stopped looking for any other contractor and signed with him. All of his teams were great and if there was a small problem he was on it and had it resolved right away. His finishing guy was such a perfectionist. We are so happy with our new and modern basement.

We are very satisfied with the work that was done in our basement by Dmitry and his team. Everyone was considerate and had the expertise required for their specific job. In the planning phase, Dmitry listened to everything we wanted and made sure that the final project reflected exactly what we had in mind. One of the biggest things we noticed was how thorough he was. He made sure each job was fully completed and brought things to our attention that we would have not necessarily noticed ourselves (but made a big difference!) His pricing was very fair and he stuck to the original quote. He went out of his way to do some smaller projects that were not a part of the original scope of work. We would absolutely recommend his company to any family/friends looking to do a renovation job in the future, and would call him back to our own home for our next project!

Dimitri and Bedrock Basements did an outstanding job converting our seldom used unfinished walk-out basement into an "Instagram Worthy" living space that we now use more than our main floor. The project was not a simple one and included structural changes (i.e. removing/relocating posts & widening/replacing exterior doors), adding Custom Sauna, Wine Cabinet and a massive 10'x5' island etc..

Dimitri and his crew were all extremely knowledgeable, hardworking and very neat/tidy. They all were open to accommodating last minute changes where possible as they truly were motivated to make us the customer happy.

Most important to me is that Dimitri was always just a text/phone call away even at late nights, weekends etc.. During the entire time working with him, I believe the longest I have waited for response from him can be measured in hrs (unlike other contractors who I have had to wait days to get a response).

So if you want luxury type work in a modest budget I suggest you give Bedrock a call.

Working with Bedrock Basements to have our basement finished was a professional experience from start to completion. I would recommend Dmitry to anyone who was looking to have their basement finished. He accommodated all of our requests and went above and beyond to make sure it was done correctly. His quote was accurate and itemised. With Dmitry making frequent visits himself, and with back-to-back scheduling of the trades - you wouldn't know they were working on other projects. The trade crews were all a pleasure to work with as they were polite and worked hard. I am normally a DIYer but wanted my basement completed in a time-frame that would of be impossible by my-self. I am very glad that I hired this job out to Bedrock as they left me with a turnkey renovation that didn't involve me lifting a single finger, no-regrets. I will especially enjoy my theatre room, thanks Dmitry.
