Diamond H Contracting

We are very happy with out new backyard deck. The work was done quickly and on schedule.

- Do Not Hire!! Received our quote and timeline and paid the 50% deposit. Chris has basically ghosted us since. After many texts and phone calls he would finally confirm a start date and then no show. Four times! Lots of false promises and excuses - when you finally hear back! We have requested a return of our deposit and Chris has again disappeared. We are now seeking legal action. Repeat - DO NOT HIRE!!

Like others, before hiring this company I looked at the reviews posted here on this website and was pleased to see the mostly positive feedback. Sadly, this was not even close to the case.
Be warned, do not use this company.
He quoted my neighbor and I for a fence back at the end of May including 6' posts and gates for roughly 4 grand total. He sent us online contracts to sign indicating he would start our job June 15 and have it completed within 2 days. We also had to pay half the cost up front to reserve our position in his construction cue.
No one ever showed up on construction day, and it took about another week for anyone to even come out to our homes to begin work.
On June 24 he finally came out and marked holes for an augering crew to dig. From that date until now (July 14), he has not returned, has sent no one else to complete our job, and is refusing to return our deposits.
Every request to have our money returned is met with a promise to do so that day or the next - and then nothing.
My experience is a direct one, but speaking on behalf of another contractor I've spoken to in the area, I learned that he had walked off on another job that they are having to complete for him. The contractor suspects that he has severely underquoted his jobs and does not have the money to continue or return to us.
Now my neighbor and I have been left with large posts holes in our yard which are a hazard for anyone walking through there.
We are having to resort to a civil claim against this company now just to get our deposits back.

I had recently gotten a puppy and my husband and I had been waiting somewhat impatiently for spring. Had someone all set to start and the contractor never showed up. Went back online and Chris contacted me that morning with an estimate later that day!!
He was quick and efficient with everything completed in a week even with the start of the busy season. Was so happy with his work and even recommended him to a friend close by

Chris and his team rebuilt our deck. Awesome job! Hard workers that got the job done quickly. Chris was a great communicator and kept us up to date. Already have our next project booked with Chris and his crew.

Chris provided timely and competitive estimate and began work within a couple of days of his scheduled time frame (delayed 3 days due to snow!). I like that he assessed my privacy screen to be in good condition and didn't try to up-sell me to replace it. He powered through my job until it was complete. There were a few wrinkles like the steps were rotten and needed replaced. He got the materials and secured the steps same day. He also drove to the decking supplier to grab the few boards they had left in stock to ensure he had sufficient to finish the work.

Unfortunately post-installation service was not as efficient as the initial job. Chris was to replace a board on the back deck that was cut a bit short and left a gap in the finish. Despite a few messages from me to him, I received no response. Then one of the boards came loose on the front steps. A few more messages to Chris, one of which he responded to but after a month and no fix, I got it fixed myself.

The big job at the beginning went very well. Too bad he was too busy to complete the work in its entirety.

Working with Chris has been effortless. He provided a virtual like rendition of the ideas we gave him. It ensured we were both on the same page. He completed the project within the timeline he provided and on budget! The result was exactly what we envisioned and it looks amazing. The workmanship is very very good. I would have no problem recommending Chris to friends and family.

Chris called me immediately after contact and was home before I got there. He responded on time, delivered on time and job was completed professionally. Overall I am very pleased with the service rendered and have no doubts recommending him. Thank you!

Chris did a excellent job on our replacement aluminum railing project. On time & on budget. Recommend Chris’s work highly!!
