I contacted Rivercroft for a 2nd opinion on a questionable diagnosis from another contractor about my furnace. Derek & Mark came the same day I called (!) and conducted comprehensive reviews, tests and analysis of my furnace, and also my fire/CO2 alarms.

I had Rivercroft come out for a diagnostic and paid for the service and was happy with it. I got a quote for the parts and labour and wanted more information on this. I text and called them and they were not responsive and was not transparent on the fees. As a customer, it's within my rights to understand the associated costs but Rivercroft didnt want to deal with my inquiries. When I decided to proceed with the quote, they asked for full payment and I suggested 50% deposit since the parts need to be ordered and installation services hasnt been rendered yet. At this request, they came back and fired me as a customer all because I was asking questions.

I reached out to Derek on the Monday of a long weekend to ask about connecting a gas line in our finished basement. He was over in a few hours the same day and assessed our property for the quote. I had asked several other techs for the same service and didn't get satisfactory responses from them.

Derek confirmed our quote and provided professional advice in getting a complex job done. He was knowledgeable on fire code requirements and also went over several options with us.

3 days later, Derek and Mark came to our property for the install, which took a long full day. I reviewed their work and was delighted to see they had done a tremendous job. Very clean and professionally done.

I would recommend Derek and his team for any general contracting/HVAC work.

I reached out to Mark and Derek to have my American standard AC unit serviced and ready for summer. They were extremely professional, very thorough and, explained everything in great detail that I wanted to know. Overall I chose this company from the American standard website as a preferred dealer and, now I understand why there are preferred dealer. They do outstanding work.

I couldn’t be more pleased with the service I received from Mark and Derek. I spoke to Mark in the morning and my pool heater was up and running by the evening!! They came exactly when they told me they would and there were no hidden costs when I got the bill. They were very friendly and knowledgeable and I would highly recommend them to anyone with heating or air conditioning needs.

We had an issue with our air handler not blowing hot or cold air throughout the house but the system seemed to be running. Within the hour of creating a HomeStars request, Derek contacted me and tried to help diagnose it over the phone. He fit me into his schedule the following day for a diagnostic even though I was far out of his location. He took a look at it, but my air handler started running fine once he arrived. He was very knowledgeable about my HVAC system. I was very pleased with the customer service and will definitely call in the future if I ever need service for my HVAC.

I had a problem with attic ventilation. Mark and Derek visited my house, inspected the attic thoroughly not only for ventilation, they also send me pictures of other things that they saw. We had our boiler blow up in the middle of the winter and Rivercroft quoted a new high efficiency combo unit immediately and installed the following weekend. They were very efficient considering the time constraints and cold weather. They also had to run some new lines to our addition and install a couple rads. Derek has always been very responsive and informative in all our correspondences. They have done a thorough job and if anything wasn’t quite right they returned immediately to resolve the issue. They are very tidy while working, wearing shoe coverings, laying drop cloths and their pipe work is laid out thoughtfully.
