The Floor-ist

We hired Laszlo (the Floor-ist) to install hardwood flooring on the upper level of our home as well as to renovate our staircase. We met with several contractors but decided to go with the Floor-ist, as Laszlo is clearly very experienced and knowledgeable with this type of work. He offered several ideas on the best materials to use, as well as the best stores for find quality hardwood. He answered all of our questions, with very thoughtful and detailed answers. He arrived on time and ready to work each day and cleaned up fully after day of work. We relied on his expertise and he didn't disappoint. We are thrilled with the end result and are very happy we decided to go with the Floor-ist. We'd hire him again in a second!

Laszlo is very professional and his attention to detail is amazing. We are very happy with the job he did in our home. We had carpet in our basement and up the staircase and Laszlo re-finished the stairs to match the hardwood that we have on the main floor - it was a perfect match! He also installed vinyl plank flooring in our basement with new quarter round and baseboards. He and his employee are clean, efficient, and their precision to the techniques involved are excellent. We would certainly hire him again!

Laszlo has completely transformed our home! We had a very large project of replacing the carpet in the entire second floor, all hardwood in the living/dining area, tiles in the kitchen, all door casings and baseboards. Also completely renovate our old stairs. He provided a free evaluation and estimate after his first visit. He was always available as we went through the selection process with recommendations.

Laszlo has transformed our house. He did an amazing job installing our beautiful hardwood floors and stairs on schedule. He removed a mix of parquet, old hardwood floors and carpeting. He was very detailed and consulted with us as he completed various parts of the job including the stain for the stairs and handrails. He was very reliable, professional and reasonably priced. He was clean and tidy, always making sure he covered our furniture and other areas with plastic sheets. He was also flexible and considerate. When we had a delay with the delivery of the hardwood (our supplier), he was accommodating and worked around the delivery schedule. He is a pleasure to work with and is highly recommended.

Used Laszlo to tear out old hard wood and install new along with a stair case Reno. Laszlo came with us to the flooring sales centre to help with product info.
