Benny’s Ceiling Stucco Removal Drywall Specialist

We have been trying to get the popcorn ceiling remove from our new home for the past 8 months. We've had contractors come in and either not quote or provide costs that were so astronomical it was impossible to do the work. Benny came in took a look at the job and knew exactly what needed to be done. He had the right equipment and expereince that not only did it get done way faster than I thought but it turned out much nicer that I thought it would as well. Benny was very through in covering all the floors and walls so clean up was minimal. Dust is always going to happen but it was very managable with all the care they took in closing everything off.

We hired Benny's team for plastering of the ceiling in our condo, and we couldn't be any happier!!!
After the initial site visit, he provided detailed cost estimate and committed to the timelines, that were both later on met.

There was around 800 s.f. of an old popcorn ceiling in our two-level unit that Benny turned into a beautiful smooth finish! There was also a small demolition scope, where he had to take down kitchen bulkhead and level the ceiling between the dining room and kitchen. Looking at that area of the ceiling now, I could never tell we used to have a wall there.

Benny was very responsive and punctual, honouring the timelines and agreement. The condo (construction site) was very well organized and always left clean at the end of the working day. He also did a great job in protecting floors, windows, kitchen and closets, to minimized the dust spread.

Benny was very friendly to work with, especially since I had many questions about the work (and construction in general).
I would recommend Benny for any work on popcorn ceilings and drywall. I will definitely be his returning customer, for any work of this nature in the future.

My experience with Benny was top notch. My initial conversation with him was courteous, knowledgeable and very professional. He showed up on time as scheduled and his workmanship was beyond what I expected. We had old, textured ceilings with many imperfections and cracks. After only 2 1/2 days, our ceiling was smoothed out and the cracks/imperfections were fixed. Benny went above and beyond to make sure the job was done to perfection. He quickly accommodated a smaller job in a downtown condo without any fuss or extra charges of other contractors (eg charging parking or "downtown" fees). His work was meticulous and turned out beautiful. You would have no idea that there were popcorn ceilings were there before.

He was responsive to and patient with all my incessant questions as a first time homeowner. He patched holes in the wall and ceiling left by my electricians free of charge. Talked to most Drywall/plaster specialists on Homestars and after this experience Benny's Ceiling Stucco Removal is the best quality and value out there.

Our project involved a painted 17ft high ceiling and 4 rooms on the main floor which required a lot of sanding and touching up. Benny was one of the few who owned his own scaffolding (others charged an extra 1k to rent) among a vast array of equipment for a professional job. Over a period of 7 days their team (Benny+Carlos) would cover flooring meticulously taped down with paper. Apply plastic, brand new packages of drop sheets and divide up rooms to contain dust and protect furniture, fans were used to dry over night in the colder winter weather. They left it clean and accessible each day when they finished.

Benny is very friendly and knowledgeable at this trade. The final product is completely perfect. Not a single line or imperfection in the ceiling and he used the highest quality Regal line paint you can find. The edges of the room were sanded down by hand completely flush which is most difficult and differentiates his higher quality of work to others out there. He was happy to touch up several walls and fix old imperfections around the house done by others. Didn't require an upfront deposit and was very trustworthy to make sure we were satisfied.

We had another company with very high rated reviews on homestars do our bedrooms, they used cheaper paint and left imperfections just eyeballing the finish without adjusting lighting in the rooms which became visible in low lighting. Benny goes to the effort to block windows in rooms, use large lighting rigs to adjust lighting and ensure a perfect finish in all lighting levels, you are getting the most professional level of work out there. The areas of the house that Benny did ended up being far superior, wish we called him from the start.

I strongly recommend you go with Benny for any plastering work and stucco/popcorn removal. This type of work requires a high level of experience, skill, patience and talent and you will be more than happy with the results. He was a pleasure to deal with.
