I had to undergo a major renovation project involving the kitchen of my home. After contacting a few contractors for estimates, I chose to go with Velusina Design & Contruction. Chris was an absolute professional where not only was his estimates straight to budget he also advised of few details about out kitchen (for example taking down a wall - to make more of an open concept). We were very impressed by his other suggestions - mainly in regards to the cabinets & back splash options. During the completion of the project he was always there checking in with myself to see if the project was really what i desired it to be. After having a colleague of mine (who does home inspections) evaluate various steps within the completed project everything was verified as "good to go".

I recently decided to undergo a complete interior overhaul of my home. After going through my contacts for references without much luck, I decided to take my search online. Going through the process of interviewing prospective contractors and looking at all of their respective company profile I finally decided to work with Chris and his team. When we met Chris for the first time. He was well prepared and on time. He made an effort to understand what we had in mind and made professional recommendations to make sure that the kitchen was well designed and had no design flaws. He created a great island that works as both a breakfast eating table as well as a wine cellar. His
attention to detail is second to none. He also has great knowledge as to what will last and what works well with the ideas we want to realize. He seems to know what is in style so he Is very up to date on current trends.

Chris from Velusina Design and Construction was very patient with me. He worked with my idea's for what the kitchen would look like and added his own touches that I didn't even know I would want. After meeting with countless contractors, we decided to build our dream house with Chris from Velusina Design & Construction. From ground zero, Chris was there every step of the way. Originally, my husband and I were just going to add an addition to the home. However, after a thorough inspection with Chris and our licensed home inspector, we noted structural deficiencies that we could not shy away from. Chris reassured us that we would be able to build a home to last for our growing family, and stay within a reasonable budget.
Chris began by listening to our needs, wants and non-negotiables for our home, and took that information and transformed it into a beautiful design. After a few tweaks and changes, we had a blueprint for the house of our dreams. Chris took care of all of the permits, and ensured the bylaws and codes were met for our zoning area. Chris’ team was always welcoming of us on the job-site, and even provided us with WSIB-approved boots and hats to tour the site when it was safe to. His staff is knowledgeable, reliable and friendly, and makes you feel like a part of the Velusina family.
Chris helped us pick out practical finishes and paint colours for our home. He even designed our custom kitchen with furniture he built to fit the space!
