Max Appliance Repair

Our dryer stopped producing heat - I called Max Appliance as I usually do when our appliances break, and they sent Kirill the next day. Kirill is an amazing technician - fast and very skilled. He came back with the necessary part the same day as opposed to waiting for the following week (I am very grateful for this!). Max Appliance has always had great technicians over the years we've been using the company, and we've always had great service. A huge thank you to Kirill!

As our fridge/freezer was warming, we contacted Max Appliance Repair and they quickly assigned a technician (Alex) to the job. He arrived the next day, quickly assessed what was wrong, and determined we needed a new cooling/freezing system which had to be ordered. Four days later, he installed the new component for the price he had quoted. He also took the time to show me the broken electrical connection and the work he had completed. He also took the time to test the newly installed system to make sure it was working, and then cleaned up the work site. Overall his service was very friendly, courteous, and professional!

For a refrigerator repair, they first charge $360.00, did not fix it because parts were not available, and then $240 for a second visit to fix the part.

Had a control panel malfunction and needed a replacement. Vlad diagnosed and took care of the problem. Excellent communication especially around scheduling, payment and the process of getting the replacement part. Felt good about the interactions and had a great conversation.

We had an issue with our dishwasher leaking and water dripping through the floor into the finished basement. Yaro from Max Appliance Repair came the next morning, assessed the problem and went out of his way to obtain the parts he needed so that he could repair the dishwasher and have it up and running the following day. He was very knowledgeable and did a excellent job.

We thought our washer was leaking as there was water seeping underneath it. Called MAX yesterday and today someone came, checked the machine, and told us it is fine, but it is a plumbing leakage issue. Found him to be very honest, as he could have tried to fix something on the washer but didn't. We will need a plumber but at least now we know. He came earlier than the appointed time but checked first to make sure that was okay. Very professional, friendly, wore a mask. Impressed with the prompt response to my request for a quote; less then 24 hours.

technician disassembled top of machine disconnected electrical connectors from main board and diagnosed it as defective, need to order new part and pay me now for it. Technician to return in two days with part. I tried the machine the following day and it functioned normally and has been ever since. I believe that the machine sitting unused for a period of months had minor corrosion on the connections which was removed/cleaned when the connectors were removed and replaced. Technician was advised of this when he came back. Part paid for, $281, has never been installed and is still with Max Appliance although they say it has been restocked at a cost of 75% and now they want a second service call to be paid for to bring me the part that was never installed, used or even needed. They owe me money and refuse to refund it. I have offered a solution and Max Appliance has totally disregarded it. I cannot in good faith recommend this organization. They have been advised that I will post this review on all the consumer sites that I can and have not even responded to that. This company is not to be trusted to deal fairly with you, choose another one.

My fridge was not a straight forward repair. So when two days after the first two parts were replaced, and the fridge stopped working, they immediately sent out the repair tech to do further assessment and order another part. They did not charge me for the additional assessment or part. The same repair person did all the work. He was polite, professional and conscientious. He was very honest and explained everything he was doing. I appreciate how professional and customer service oriented the whole company is. Now with the additional part, the fridge is working. There is no guarantee, but they have assured me they will take responsibility. I am really pleased with the service and have a lot of respect for the company. I would definitely recommend them.
