Washing machine stops & starts is the reason for calling the repairman. He checked and said that the agitator was not working. He called a supply company & was told that the part he requested is not available any more. When he left, I ran the machine. It works. Nothing wrong with the agitator. There may be a dead spot on the timer - is my guess.
