Hawkeye's Renovations

We had a very old basement rec room dating to late 1958. The rest of our basement was recently refinished and my husband an I worked on this particular room. We desperately needed someone to install the ceiling after we ripped down very old paper tiling. We were referred to Hawkeye Construction and we were very, very happy! The quote was reasonable for the the high quality of work done. My husband has been ill for the past few years and the gentlemen that came to do the work were wonderful and respectful. The ceiling looks fantastic and it pulled the old room together and we can now use it again.

I would absolutely recommend Hawkeye Renovations to anyone doing work on their home. They were able to get job done in a timely manner. They left job site tidy before leaving every day. And the work done was completed above my expectations. They also knew that I was working with a very limited budget so they would suggest things that would work with my budget but would make me happy with end result. HAWKEYES RENOVATIONS
Paul Varey did a wonderful job renovating the ensuite washroom in our condominium. Our goal was to remove the large soaker bathtub and replace it with a large walk-in shower. Paul advised us on the renovation details and was also able to point us to the best suppliers of material and components. He and Nick arrived on the day and time promised to start the renovation, arrived punctually each day and two weeks later completed a beautiful tiled walk-in shower with sliding glass doors, a new toilet and vanity, a new shower light and gleaming shower fixtures. We are very pleased with the professional approach by Paul, his son Daniel and his assistant Nick who completed the renovation and would unreservedly recommend Hawkeyes Renovations to anyone considering a renovation project, small or large!

They did a fabulous job and were so friendly and efficient. They even let our dog outside before they left for the day!

The original bathroom (tub, single vanity, shower stall squeezed into a corner so the bathroom door couldn't open properly) was completely gutted, the bulkhead removed (suggested by Paul and great idea!), and one wall was removed to be rebuilt slightly forward to allow for plumbing that couldn't be run through a firewall (townhouse complex). The tear-down took about 3 hours. The following work was done to create an amazing bathroom:-bathtub installed-plumbing created so there could be a shower in as part of the tub area-new ceiling put above tub-pot lights installed above the tub and across the ceiling-all boarding done around the tub for moisture-proofing the area-tub area tiled up to the ceiling with tile border in complimentary colour-niche installed and tiled in complimentary colour-exhaust fan changed to an incredibly quiet and attractive model-wiring of the original light was changed to accommodate two lights above each mirror-installation of 60" vanity with mirrors above each of two sinks-ceramic tile floor-painting of walls and door-crown moulding-plumbing created for two sinks-installation of new toilet-wiring of exhaust fan connected to a timer; pot light above the tub is on an independent switch, as are the other pot lights and the lights above the vanity (great electricity saver)Whenever decisions had to be made, Daniel or Paul was very patient and gave us the information that helped us make those decisions. Communication was excellent throughout the project. Cleaning up each day was perfect, as was the clean-up at the end of the project.

We hired Paul to renovate our main bathroom and he and the guys did such a great job! They were on schedule and things went very, very smoothly! They also replaced all the interior doors on the second level. We had hired another contractor before we met Paul who had renovated much of our house. However, he abandoned us 99% of the way through. Paul finished up the odds and ends and our house looks amazing. We are looking forward to when we can hire Hawkeyes again and would not hesitate to recommend them.

The guys came across as extremely friendly and very professional. At the end of each day they cleaned up as if they were never there. There workmanship was excellent and will use them again.

The lads were very polite, tidy, helful.

The work was completed in a timely and professional manner. Ideas were offered which I had not considered which greatly added to the updated look and feel of the new bathroom.
