Blue Ocean Moving And Storage Services

My son used this company last year to move from Vancouver, BC to Missisauga ON. All went well so I figured id use them as well rather than going hunting for a company I gave Blue Ocean a call. Despite being 2 days late for my delivery the guys who picked my stuff up (Peter) & (George) were really careful with my stuff. The loading time was only three hours for a 3 bedroom house. Last time we did a move on. Our own it took us 2 days and 7 trips in the u haul. I would definetly recomend these guys to anyone moving long distance. Thanks for all your hard work.

Thank you guys for all your help for my moving. The guys were very fast on the time and nice. I Was so strees for my move to Vancouver after hearing some storys about some company. I will definietly call you guys if I need a move again.

My move was contracted to Blue Ocean by Transit Canada. It was truthfully the worst customer experience I've had. They damaged my furniture. Once my things were delivered, they stopped returning phone calls. No apology was given. Do not use this company.

At first I was given a quote of only 490$ but end up paying 926$ for the same.

We had a sumilar nightmere. We moved from windsor to montreal. We waited with kids 3 days sleeping in a floor and a car. Could not reach the company over a weekend. I sent 15 emails and countless messages. They overcharged us 700 dollars and showed up 5 days later. We tought they disapeard with everything our kids have. I was frustrated . 5 th day they showed up ..the lady in office was discusting. I had to return to windsor leaving my kids behinde. She had a nerve tell me that i did not even arrive to montreal yet. Finally they arrived. LOST expensive tool box and cover. We fiiled the form on line 3 weeks no response. They are criminals and they will hear from my lawyer. We contacted Transit Canada Movers and got an invoice from them. On the day of the pickup, Blue Ocean company showed up which at the time I thought was the pickup branch of Trans Canada Movers. If you'd like to know what a horrible company is blue ocean is just read some of the reviews about them. We were promised a one-day delivery, but we ended up with damaged and missing items (2000$) after 23 days. Don't trust the good reviews you see about Trans Canada Movers, you may end up with a lousy company such as Blue Ocean as we did. We contacted them regarding this three times, I even wrote them the contact info. of the senior relocation specialist who I talked to at the first place, but they did not reply us back regarding this.

Movers didn’t call and didn’t show up the day of the delivery. I called and emailed them for 4 days until I finally reached someone who told me the truck had been taken from their facilities and all my belongings were gone.

They gave me a police report which was incomplete and told me to wait for their insurance to go through, which he said, could take weeks or even months. I followed up with the police department and got my insurance company involved, I was not getting responses from them, they were always sketchy and rude when pushed for answers, so I told them I was filing my own report stating their company had taken all my stuff and I had a detailed list of what they picked up in Ottawa. The truck was found by the police a few days later and almost everything was there.

I had to wait a few more days for them to do the delivery after the truck was recovered. They gave false information several times, for example, saying that the police was holding all my belongings as part of the investigation, which the police confirmed was false. I had to get the police department (Peel Regional Police) involved, they were very diligent and helpful, and thanks to their prompt intervention I got everything back except a vacuum and some of my furniture was broken, scratched and/or dented.

The moving company never responded (phone or emails) when I asked to have the missing items covered by their insurance so I gave up. I also ended up paying about $200 more than what I was quoted and had to pay because if not they would not give me my stuff back.
I have moved a lot in the last few years and this is by far the worst experience I have ever had. Do not hire these people! Not only they should not be in business, they should be investigated and prosecuted.

Transit Canada Movers

PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, THEY ARE NOT LEGITIMATE. RENT A U-HAUL INSTEAD.

Transit Canada Movers is the current name of Blue Ocean Moving, they change their name yearly to avoid a bad reputation. After the move we noticed that Transit Canada Movers still uses the Blue Ocean Moving contract.

Myself, my friend and girlfriend hired Transit Canada Movers for our move from Windsor to Montreal. The contract said that we would only pay around $990 and delivery would be on August 12th. On the 14th, 2 days late with no phone calls or any communication except the insults of the driver who picked up our belongings, the company demanded an extra $700 to deliver on the 16th. We were all forced to sleep on cardboard and buy things we already owned. My toolbox containing many tools worth over $200 was missing. I've filed a claim but i doubt it will get filled or I'll even hear back. This company doesn't even own their own trucks, they rent from Penske. This company only cares about lining their pockets with your money. Please rent your own trucks from uhaul or discount to avoid the illegitimate movers that have been showing up in recent years.

This is a company that operates under various names- Selective moving, Skyline Moving and Storage, Blue Ocean Moving and Storage Services and God knows what the other company names are.

They are a bogus company and take great sadistic pleasure by holding people's luggage and then the wait begins. Stories after stories are told. They are a consolidated company with no "real" stuff of their own. They beg for other's trucks to load your luggage. These people are worst than animals.

Please do not go to this company for transporting your goods. They picked our luggage up 7 weeks ago from Alberta to be delivered to Quebec and so far there is no trace. They neither call up nor honour their words. You will land yourself in misery if you do.

You can google up Calgary Herald's news article dated December 16th and read how an elderly lady was harassed by them. I am now in the same boat too.

Go with a company that is BBB rated (as A or A+) in addition to being recognised by Canadian Association of Movers. Genuine companies(as far as I can tell) do not give email based estimated quotes.
