Warren and his team were very professional. Upon discovering we had asbestos vinyl tiles under the carpeting during the demolition, I called A1 Eco plus a few other companies from HomeStars. Warren and his collegue showed up the very next morning, and went through the entire area or roughly 2500 sq ft (and additional 550 sq ft later on) to inspect and explain how the work would be executed. Showed up on time on the day or work and even though it was suppose to take them 3 days, they completed the it 2 days and kept the last day for air quality testing.

Even though they was a miscommunication about the report of air testing, Warren was very co-operative and agreed to provide occupancy clearance certificate. I would highly recommend anyone looking for Asbestos removal to consider A1 Eco Ltd.

We had a small asbestos issue within our vent registors. Of course the previous homeowner and home inspector didn't feel the need to tell us. Nonetheless, we got a fair priced quote from Warren. Who was very helpful in answering all our questions and putting our mind at ease with the asbestos abatement. Warren came and did the job efficiently and effectively.

We recently contacted Warren about vermiculite in our attic we wanted tested for asbestos prior to doing some renos. Warren took my call on a Sunday, was very knowledgeable and came to our house that evening to collect the samples. We had the results within 48 hours.

Our house, which we bought recently, was built in 1957. Our laundry room floor-covering consisted of 9" X 9" tiles, which we were pretty sure contained asbestos. We wanted them gone. Also, the bedroom above our garage has been very cold in the winter months. The ceiling in the garage was a concrete-like plaster material, which we thought may also contain asbestos. As well, we suspected there was likely little in the way of insulation above the ceiling. We wanted the garage ceiling taken down in preparation for spray foam insulation, and the laundry room floor tiles removed. We called A1 Eco Ltd. and spoke to Warren. He came to our house within several hours of our call. He confirmed the tiles were made of asbestos, and sent a small sample of the garage ceiling material to a lab for testing. It turned out not to contain asbestos, which saved us a few dollars. Warren and his crew were very professional. They came when they said they would come, and clearly explained to us how they were going to proceed, and why. They made sure the garage and laundry room were properly vented and sealed off from the rest of the house, and that our nearby belongings were well protected. They finished both projects in less than a day, which minimized our disruption. They left both areas neat and tidy. Two very professional representatives came to collect 3 insulation samples from my attic. They were efficient and cleaned the area below the access point very thoroughly after they collected the samples. They even did a walktrough in the basement to look for any asbestos casings around my old ductwork.
They showed up promptly the morning after i agreed to have them do the collecting.
They overnight ship the samples to a lab in Florida for testing, which then emails a report to you within 48hours.
I won't need their asbestos remediation services since the results showed no asbestos in the attic. However, i do plan on hiring them to top up my insulation to an R50 rating.
I'd recommend A1 to anyone.

Warren Coleman and his crew rescued our basement not only from mould, but also from asbestos that was discovered in the course of dealing with the mould. In order to deal with the mould a great deal of clutter had to be cleared. Warren arranged for a dumpster and for a worker to deal with the sorting and clearing and carting out of everything from a small freezer to old built-in shelves and cupboards to boxes of musty paper. Warren was clear and upfront with his assessment and quotes, and his crew were very hard-working and nice people to have around. I'm grateful to all of them.

We are a design/build company in Toronto and we deal with old houses that contain asbestos quite a bit. We called A1 Eco because we weren't pleased with the last company used and needed to try someone new. Warren was quick and efficient in giving a quote. He was on time, inspected the house before we arrived and let us know is suspicions behind closed walls and showed us areas that we hadn't even realized were asbestos (around the floor registers). We had 2 exposed vents with asbestos and he suspected a third, and said he was 90% sure it would be wrapped in asbestos- low and behold he was correct. When giving the quote he even told us the price before opening the wall in case there was asbestos behind it. It was great knowing all the fees up front and he was even going to try and work the schedule to be a day sooner so that it would not disrupt work for us on site. He sent us about 15 photos of the before/during phase of removal and constantly kept me updated. It is very hard to find people/companies who want to work WITH you these days and all of Warren's efforts have not gone unnoticed. We are currently renovating our house and our contractor was concerned that the insulation used in our attic could have asbestos. We called A1ECO and they came to our house the same day we contacted them. They were able to inspect the insulation and determined that our insulation was cellulose not vermiculite. We were very relieved! A1ECO was extremely reliable and professional. Renovating a house comes with a lot of stresses and it was wonderful to work with such a wonderful company.
