After a leak into our dining room ceiling and subsequent patch cut out for repair, we decided it was the perfect time to remove our popcorn ceiling and replace our old outdated pot lights.
We called Nick at Smooth Ceilings Ltd., after reading all the great reviews and he came out to measure and give us a quote on our living room, dining room and front hallway.
The bonus was that they could make this seamless for us - patch the holes, remove the popcorn, bring in an electrician to remove the old lights and install new, and then plaster and paint - all in 2 days.
Nick, Peter and the crew were great to work with ... punctual, hardworking, pleasant and did an amazing job. They even cleaned up after. When there was a small area that didn’t dry as smooth, Nick insisted on coming back to repair it.
We are so happy with the finished product and wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.

Nick and his team were great, they were in and out in 2 days and had 1200 square feet smoothed and painted perfectly. Their work is meticulous and even though they were fast, we didn’t feel that the work was rushed at all.
Nick was very thorough in explaining the whole process and the costs of everything.

Nick and Peter and his crew did a fantastic job removing the popcorn ceilings in our family room/hallway and two storey entry with curved staircase. They arrived a bit ahead of schedule on the first day and immediately started covering the walls, floors, stairs and railing. They completed removal of the popcorn stucco and plastered by the end of day one. The second day involved sanding and painting. On completion, all floor and wall coverings were removed, floors swept and/or vacuumed and then cleaned with a floor cleaner. The whole group was pleasant and easy to work with and the price fair for the work done. We would highly recommend them to anyone wishing to have this type of work done.

Rid of the popcorn ceiling on our second floor. There is a bit of a complication too where we have a skylight that has a long well where it peaks out about 14 feet up. Also, it’s over a stairwell! I met with a few companies and most of them didn’t want to do it and one told me to just keep it the way it was. I almost did, but once I spoke with Nick and then Peter came to look at it, they gave me confidence they were the right ones to do the job and we moved forward. Glad I did! They were professional, clean, thorough and protective of our house. It was a pleasure and now the ceilings upstairs are perfect and the well of the skylight is amazing! Thanks guys.
