Gentry Roofing & Flat Roofing

I called and received several quotes from many different roofing companies. Mike Peters was very knowledgeable and always responded to my questions in a timely manner and returned my numerous calls. His crew did a great job with install and being aware of my small children around. Clean up was great didn't find a single nail.
I asked him point blank about previous bad reviews and he was very up front and honest. My father having been a roofer for 25 years made me very aware of what to look for in a product and a crew. Mike made sure he came by before the end of the job to be sure I was satisfied with everything. Roof was installed last year and there were no issues over the winter.
I would recommend Mike and Gentry Roofing.

I had Gentry install my roof 5 years ago and was satisfied with the service. A recent wind tore off a shingle, I have been trying to get in touch with them to repair the damages as the shingles are under warranty. Their follow up service is lack lustre at best. Numerous emails and voicemail messages have gone un-answered. On this basis, I would not recommend them.

About 4 years ago we had our roof re-shingled with Gentry Roofing. With the most recent windstorm about a week and a half ago, a large section of shingle was ripped off. Both my wife and I have been trying to get in touch with them daily ever since. We have left over 10 messages and at least 3 email with absolutely no response. We finally received a call from Mike Peters who promptly took care of the whole thing. Within a day or two, he came out and repaired our roof. Thank you Mike!

I'm warning you all not to go with Gentry. The workers were rude and opinionated. My roof still leaks. I had to go with another company to fix the problem cuz no one at Gentry would get back to me.

My roof was done in early May. The work was not quite completed due to a thunderstorm. I made the mistake of paying on the promise they would be right back. Since then I have called and emailed and have been ignored. Further I have never received my shingles guarantee. Their poor customer service turned a satisfied to a very unhappy customer.

Very bad experience! I don't reccomend this roofer to anyone!
Please don't make the same mistake I made don't hire this company trust me on that one!This is all I can say...

Hired April 2007 and paid in full for a new roof to repair leaking on newly purchased older home. Water coming in windows, down walls, through ceilings and we assured that increasing the water sheild and replacing roof, and enlarging downspouts etc. would solve so we did all. The winter and freezing proved Darren(owner)wrong and even the staff(Darren never attended) sent to shovel off our roof said it needed to be fixed. I have since taken this up with consumer affairs for our Consumer protection act rights to be enforced...failing this i have to re-pair and seek legal action. NOVEMBER 17th 2008 we had a leak in another area on Saturday and emailed them and today they actually showed up to fix this today and the gentleman was pleasant and truly hoped to satisfy me and resolve the problem. We are hopeful that it as well as the other is resolved at this point but if not we are hopeful that their approach to service has changed...time will tell but i thought you should know.

March 16, 2009: This company has since made good on warranty issues this winter...i have adjusted the rating in appreciation for the fact and like to say thanks for them doing it.
