My husband and I purchased an LG steam dishwasher from Castle Appliances in Calgary, AB. We were told the item would be in stock and to head up and pick up the item, we started heading up to calgary from high river only to receive a phone call half way there to say the item actually wasn't in stock.
We then requested that the dishwasher be delivered to High River once it was in stock, a week later we received the Dishwasher only to find that is was damaged on the bottom framing which made it unusable, so we called back and they ordered us another dishwasher, this finally came again a week later and was delivered to us on a saturday at 5pm only to find this dishwasher had exactly the same damage so we send back both dishwashers are we still had the original dishwasher as we where going to send it back the same day. We then left a message with the company as it was obviously closed for the weekend.
We heard no response back monday morning so my husband called at lunch time to see what was going to be done. He spoke to Doug the manager and he was completely rude about the situation and not understanding. We requested they order another dishwasher but make sure that this one was not broken before delivery and that we needed it by the weeks end as we had a large amount of guests coming over for a meal on the weekend. He told us the item would be ordered.
We hadn't heard anything about the dishwasher arriving on the wednesday so my husband called again to check on the situation but the manager was busy with a customer and had to call back. The manager left a message on my husbands voicemail saying the order had been shipped and they are not expecting it until the following week.
My husband then called back again before the 'closing time' and the phones had already been switched to voicemail so he left another message requesting Doug to call back, as he had previously told him we needed the dishwasher by the coming weekend.
We then received a call from Doug the following day informing us that the dishwasher wasn't actually even on the order they are expecting the following week so it would be longer!!
Needless to say this had been almost a month since originally purchasing the dishwasher and they wanted us to wait 2 weeks maybe even longer!! It was so frustrating. So we decided to purchase of another company who had the item in stock and where extremely helpful and understand of the situation.
I would never recommend anyone purchase from this company, and if you do have a fault or issue good luck trying to get it resolved without being treat rudely from management!!
