moving from Oakville to King City

Tower moving was great from the beginning, most importantly throughout!, and to the end. The owner visited us to give a quote, and was later very patient and accommodating during changes to the dates and amount of stuff to move. The crew of movers were incredible (we have moved 11 times in the past 10 years): accommodating, took care of our items and how they moved them, and a very nice group of guys. Highly recommend this company for a smooth and enjoyable move!

Tower Moving was a Great Experience! From the moment I signed up they were very easy to work with and very professional! They moved everything on time and were even ahead of schedule! all our equipment was handled with care and made it to our new location without a scratch on it! There was nothing we had to do, They handled everything! I would use them again without question, they are by far the best moving company in Toronto with the best prices!

Movers from beyond hell

I've survive a number of moves in my life, more than ten.
Sometimes movers are good, sometimes bad, and this time something out of this range - Tower Moving.
I wouldn't call them bad, they are way beyond bad.
I chose them based on the good reviews, and based on my experience with two teams of Tower Moving these reviews are most likely fake.
I was moving one bedroom apartment within Toronto (about 20 km). The estimate (4 hours) was reasonable, although higher than most competitors.
The movers arrived a little late, and the loading begun.
I couldn’t believe my eyes. These guys were slow and didn't seem to have any experience or even common sense. Here is how leather sofa moving was performed:
One guy put it on a dolly and try to go through a door. Of course it didn't. Then he tried to forcefully push it through a door. No go. Another guys comes
and the have a little dispute, the after a couple of more attempts they finally figured out to put it vertically.
One of the guys was spending a good half of the time on his cell phone, I guess he has very busy social life. His coworker was patiently waiting for him to finish conversations or chats.
Another guy got in very heated argument with condo
security who asked them not to lean things against a wall in a hallway. Tower Moving is advertising as condo movers, but they have no clue
about the rules common for most condos. The security guard, very nice lady, was asking the guy to calm down as he was very agitated by this quite reasonable request. They also left some of my belongings in a corridor for more than an hour - another no-no in condo rules.
Around 60-70% of time was wasted during the load on smart phone use, arguing with security and due to the absence of experience/common sense.
At this point I was already pretty unhappy with my choice of movers, but this was just a beginning of the nightmare...
The truck left before I did as I had to do elevator inspection with the security. Apologizing to the security lady for mover's behavior as well.
I arrived to the new address in 25 minutes, the traffic was pretty light. The truck isn't there. Waited 10 minutes when called. They said they are 10 minutes away
(stopped for lunch may be?). Ok. Waited another 15 minutes. No truck. Called again- they say truck is broken down and doesn't start, they are waiting
are waiting for roadside assistance. At this point I understand that only 2 hours left for the elevator booking and the new condo is very strict on the timings.
All my things are on the truck, bedding, clothes, everything. And it's Saturday, so next day delivery isn't allowed by condo rules.
Trying to reach Ryan to discuss what to do - voicemail.
At 3:30 PM elevator booking ran out and truck hasn't arrived. By that time I was finally able to talk to Ryan who notified me that they are all booked
for Monday and that truck breaking down isn't there fault - truck break down all the time. They are sorry but can't help me. Tuesday may be?
When condo management told me that the only opening for the elevator they have is for Monday and next one is Friday - I managed to persuade Ryan
to rent another truck and get me my things on Monday - he decided to do me a favor.
After two days with no clothes or beds I finally got my staff delivered on Monday. Boxes are smashed, furniture scratched, sofa and armchairs teared and ripped.
The new guy dropped a box with plates because he was using one hand only - another hand was using cell phone.
And the bill - higher than the original estimate. With some nice words - "We haven't made any money on your move and you got your stuff delivered- what are you unhappy about?"
Bottom line - if you want your belongings handled by incompetent hostile movers, moved on a truck which is unable to go 20 km
without breaking down, things smashed, scratched and damaged, being left for a few days without beds or clothes, and then you get ripped off - by all means - user Tower Moving.

Company Response

Hi Max,

We are very disappointed to read your account of your experience with us, and sincerely apologize for any dissatisfaction with your move.

While you may have differing views on best practices to move certain items, we assure you we operate above industry standards and put our staff through rigorous training to ensure the appropriate tools and wrapping techniques are employed at all times.
That being said, we will be giving you a call directly to discuss any specific damages you noted, as that is unacceptable to our standards and not something we are aware of having taken place.

While a truck breaking down is out of either of our control, we safely stowed all your belongings in the process and would never penalize you for the time that added to your move (which we did not).

We do pride ourselves on our high service and extensive knowledge of condo operations in the city, and once again apologize if you did not feel this was reflected to the same extent of our many happy and returning customers.

As mentioned, we will be in touch to discuss a resolution for you and try to rectify your experience.
Thank you,
The Tower Moving Team

Condo move

Ryan's team was a group of friendly and hard-working professionals. They were experienced, asked lots of questions to make sure everything was done the way I wanted and all hard-working. Ryan himself is wonderful to deal with- communicative, clear and helpful. The customer service was very refreshing. I would definitely recommend this team for any type of move.

One bedroom quick move

This was a really fast and efficient move done by only two guys during a heat wave. They were really safe with all of our things, even with oversized pieces and antiques. I've used this company twice and have been really happy both times! Will use again!

condo move

My boyfriend and I just moved into our new condo 2 weeks ago. Ryan and Eddie were our movers and we couldn't be happier with the service we received!                                       I have moved many times in the past and usually it is not the best experience. So after dreading this move, assuming it was going to be equally as horrible as my past moves, I was pleasantly surprised when it went so well. The costs of the move were straight forward and completely reasonable and easy to understand. Everything was included in the one price (mattress covers, wardrobe boxes, tape, shrink wrap, disassembly, assembly etc.).                                                 Ryan and Eddie were super efficient. They had systems set up to move as much as possible in each trip to the truck and they also really hustled! They took apart our bed and furniture and put it back together for us at our new place. They were really organized and kept all the screws and little bits and pieces to our furniture in separate zip lock bags so when they went to put it back together everything was in one place and easy to find.         They properly protected all of our belongings and handled it all with care. There was absolutely no damage to anything (to our stuff or the buildings) after everything was said and done...that was definitely a first for me! I've never made it through a move without something getting even a tiny little bit scratched or beat up, so that was impressive.   In the future I'll definitely use Ryan and his crew again. Thanks for making my move as least stressful as possible guys :)  ‎

Cottage move

We recently needed help moving items from our home up to a newly purchased cottage up north. We also needed a mover who could make a stop for us on the way to pick up a furniture item. Ryan was excellent to deal with. Very professional and accommodating. The guys he sent, Julian and Eddie, were efficient, polite and extremely helpful. They went above and beyond to make this a smooth, easy move for us. I would highly recommend Tower Moving!
