Corbeil Appliances

We purchased LG refrigerator for approx $2700 from the Oakville Hyde Park Store.. When delivery was made in April 2013, three scratches on the side were noticed and marked on Corbeil's delivery slip. Corbeil offered $150 rebate. We dropped into the store in Oct 20, 2013 inquiring as to where our cheque was. We were promised a cheque would be issued. In April 2014 we went into the store again and this time we were told a cheque was mailed in May 2013, but nothing was received. Since then, no one from the store will return our calls. DO NOT SHOP AT CORBEIL.
Finally, after months of attending the store inquiring about our refund and finally my husband threatening to picket the store on a Saturday when they have a few customers shopping, a cheque was received from their head office in Montreal. Do not deal with companies who have their head office in Montreal - they pretend they don't speak English.

We purchased several appliances for the kitchen in Corbeil appliances store in Mississauga. Upon delivery we did not notice a huge dent in the dishwasher (it was hiding under the shrink wrap). Store manager said there is nothing he can do and we have to install the damaged appliance and live with it because we signed the paper upon delivery. The dishwasher is still sitting in it's original packaging and we are trying to figure out what to do... Several pleadings and explanations lead us nowhere. Not the service one would expect in Canada!

I just recently purchased a trash compactor from Corbeil Appliances on Innes Rd. I am writing to complain about the terrible service and arrogance of the personnel. I arranged for the compactor to be delivered today. I also asked if they could install it to which she responded they would. When I booked the delivery, I enquired as to whether or not I could have an idea of when during the day they would deliver. I was told: delivery is from 7 to 7 and that there is nothing they could do about it because delivery is handled by a separate company. This morning I called to see if they could reach the delivery company and see if I could be given a timeframe. The lady enquired and told me they would deliver at noon or shortly thereafter and that I would be called one hour prior to the delivery. Well, it did not happen. I finally got a call just before 3 telling me they would arrive within 45 mins to an hour. To my surprise, they showed up 15 minutes later. Had I been out, I would have missed them. I did end up having to cancel my hairrdresser appointment at the last minute because they did not show up at noon. Also, the delivery men who are wearing Corbeil uniforms just dumped the compactor on the floor, blocking access to my sink and stove. After they left, I called the store to complain. The lady who answered said the manager would call me back in 5 minutes. Of course, he did not call back.
It is unfortunate that companies allow themselves to ignore paying customer and dismiss them with such arrogance. The irony is they charge for delivery. I will never purchase from Corbeil again and will go back to Sears where at least one is guaranteed good service.

Last year we were renovating our kitchen and by accident my husband found out that Corbeil appliances just opened in Vaughan. We ended up buying everything from them with additional $700 insurance but never mentioned that some of the stuff has been pulled out of the market such as Whirlpool crap. Needless to say less then a year after Whirlpool microwave disintegrated and neither Corbeil, nor Whirlpool would take responsibility for it, all we got is condescending, rude brush off from the Vaughan store manager -Edward. Well, Better Business Bureau received a complain, next will be CTV and CBC!
Customer service is non existent, they are there peddling crap!

Ordered a $10000 Thermodal fridge. Suppose last Friday deliver No one shows up. Saturday finally the appliances arrive, all the glass in the fridge are broken, dryer damaged. I talked to the manager, he gave me a free compact fridge and a cappuccino maker value at $500, but still try to avoid the company.

I needed a range hood quickly. Went to the new Corbeil in Whitby, On. Chose a quality model with assurances it would be delivered in 10 days to two weeks.

5 weeks later it arrives. Many phone calls in the interim. They have no idea where it is. Zero. I couldn't believe it. I can buy a pair of socks on Amazon from somebody in New Mexico and watch the UPS site to track their progress across the continent !

When I get the message that it's in, I call to ask when I can pick it up. Oh wait, it's actually in Montreal. We'll call you again. I get to the store the next day and I'm asked to sign that it's delivered damage free before I see it. Not a chance. Lacky clerk is indignant that I won't sign. At the loading dock, some doofus drags it over to me on its side, when the arrows for "this side up" are ignored. ( does it matter? I don't know, but why would they print it on the carton if it didnt?)

I am afraid to open it.

Stay away. Go to Tasco. I bought $9,000 worth of new kitchen appliances there in August and it was perfect. So professional.

Everything was late -- sometimes days, sometimes weeks. Most of it was damaged (sides of the dishwasher crushed in, the delivery drivers scratched the fridge door, the support that holds the shelves in the fridge was ripped out, a panel was popped out of the door of the second fridge). My washer and dryer even went missing, and they finally had to get a substitution after a week. The first fridge even sat in my garage for a week because they didn't bring the tools needed to take the door off of it, to get it through my front door. Took time off work so could I wait from 8am-8pm for the delivery drivers, who ended up being a no-show.

Bought a washer/ dryer set from Corbeil Burlington. The floor model was the only one they had, it was brand new and perfect until I bought it. It was delivered to me a day late, filthy from sitting in the delivery warehouse unprotected, it was scratched down to the metal in 3 places, the face of both was scratched, brush marks with dents on both machines. They would not hook up the washer and dryer after the specialists at the store sold me new hoses telling me they needed them or they wouldn't install for me.
When we contacted the store they at first seemed concerned only to tell us later it is out of their hands and up to their delivery people,
We say, we bought it from you not the delivery people, you were quite happy tp take our money.
It has been 4weeks and we have heard nothing from Corbeil's and only 2calls from the delivery people only after my husband calls the and it's always the same story we need to speak to someone else
We'll get back to you and they never do.
I will not hesitate to tell anyone I can how bad this company is with social media today I can't believe they would want very dissatisfied

Purchased a freezer from the store in Ancaster. Horrible experience with delivery. they damaged it bringing it into the house. I was told by Corbeil that it was up to the delivery company to look after the damage, not them. I purchased this over the phone and my most important feature was the alarm if the door is left open. I was told it had it. Found out later it did not. Now it has been two weeks and no one is getting back to me about that either. Horrible customer service from Corbeil. They will not look after you once the sale is completed

I got a dishwasher at corbeil appliances. When I called the store it was Very rude customer service. They told me once we are paid it is given to a delivery service and they will have no control. They missed the delivery and nobody called to inform of this. Guess what when I called the store they have it on record as completed. We had to cancel the installation appointment and to get another one is another headache and the store does not care when I talked to them.
