I don't do this often.... in fact I don't think that I ever have. But this is worth a "share"....
My friend (Tibo) is a great guy, and a pretty darn smart guy too. Not only is he an engineer, he is also a business owner with a pretty amazing business.
I was so impressed with the story and the time spent educating me that I had 2 reactions.....1 - anger that I didn't think of it first :), and 2 - that I need to check this out to see if it's for real.
Like EVERY house in Toronto we had one or two rooms that are either too warm in the summer or too cold in the winter... the result of seemingly barely any air coming out of the dang flipping' duct! The boys came hooked up the gear, pressurized the ducts and measured exactly how much air flow I was loosing (not making it to the duct outlets). In total it was the equivalent of hole of approx.. 4sq Ft in our ductwork. We didn't have one massive hole, this was just the effect of all the little holes in all the joints of the duct work.
Here's what this really means... our furnace/ac runs longer and harder to heat or cool the home. Not only is this a huge waste of money, it means that my equipment won't last as long because it has to run longer on each cycle.... which is also very expensive to replace ($5K-$10K)
I'm not even joking.... within an hour it was all fixed. Tibo had nearly every hole sealed with a patented technology (it's pretty cool actually) and we've been comfy and cozy ever since.... and it's been just about a year now.
If you have the same frustration, or would just like to save money :), then I would 100% recommend giving Tibo a call. He's not a sales guy.... he's a nerdy engineer (I think he'll take that in a good way.... that's how I meant it :)) with a great company with a passion to tell you the story.
I don't get anything for this. I just thought it was worth the share. Trust me, it's good stuff.
