AMJ Campbell Movers, Moving and Storage

We moved from Toronto to Lakeshore Ontario with a very tight two-week closing. Roger Lambert came out to do a quote and everything was set up within 24 hours of our frantic call. He was professional, his #’s were accurate and he made us feel comfortable that we had made the right choice. We moved out in the pouring rain and our London based crew lead by Darren Keyes was clearly a team of experts. They had a sunny-day attitude, not letting the inclement weather get in the way of what was for us, a whirlwind experience. They treated our possessions with kid-glove care. They also stored our belongings for a week and when we moved in the following Saturday, we were pleased to see the same crew. By the end of move-in day we felt like they were all part of our family. The experience was seamless and we would not hesitate to recommend them again and again. Keep up the great work!

I am an old man of 85, a visitor here in Canada. I sent some furniture to my family here using a European company which hired amj campbell as a sub contractor but had I known them before!!!!!
This company is a black stain on good name of both Canadians and Canada, anyone working with them are entitled to unprofessional, arrogant, amateur service in each and every aspect of these words. I simply wanted to warn you if you still need your experiences go for it this is going to give you the most rich of all experiences!

Hired AMJ Campbell for a move within City of Thunder Bay. Our relocation was sudden, with no time to sort and pack much of our own belongings. The estimate provided grossly underestimated the time required and the number of boxes.
Due to the circumstances of our move, we have yet to unpack the majority of boxes--9 months later--but in those we have opened, we found numerous broken items. Fragile items were thrown in with books. Some boxes contained mostly paper wrapped plastics and non-fragile objects. Collectibles with more than one part we're divided among different boxes. There was no sense to how things were packed​.
The packing, loading and delivery dates were scheduled at the company's convenience; not ours. My husband and I had to miss work to be available for the movers. The men took 10 to 15 minute coffee breaks every 15 to 20 minutes and all work came to a standstill. Ultimately, they left one guy to finish packing, which may explain why things were thrown in boxes willy-nilly.
The movers had a fight in public outside our new house, yelling and screaming and then threw boxes back onto the truck to be delivered several days later--at their convenience, again.
The whole experience was horrendous, and if I ever move again, AMJ Campbell will not be the movers we hire. We hired them because a co-worker recommended them. I strongly discourage residential customers from hiring this company.

Over the years I have moved into several homes and always did it myself with the help of family and friends. The problem with family and friends was there was always some breakage or damage and someone always got hurt.
When I sold my house and had AMJ move all my belongings to storage, the four gentlemen that came, (Brandon, Mike, Jeremy and Gord) were careful, courteous and a pleasure to work with.
As a result, I asked for the same four when I moved into our new home a week later. The four that came (Brandon, Mike, Sean and Adam) were just as careful and after the move was complete I am happy to say awesome guys.
If I ever move again, I will be asking for the same guys again.

My wife was transferred for work from Toronto to California, and she was informed to provide three quotes to her employer. Since AMJ is a large moving company with a relatively good reputation, I requested a quote from them. They provided the lowest estimate of the three and were automatically selected by my wife's company. At this point my hands were tied. I had not looked threw their online customer reviews before choosing them. I had based myself on their marketing as "The official mover of the Canadian Olympic Team". It was shocking to view the reviews after the decision was made. On many sites the comments were terrifying. They spoke of damaged, pilfered or lost furniture. I immediately contacted Heather my liaison for the move for some reassurance. Her responses were direct and lacking empathy. I feared the move was going to be a nightmare. I entrusted all our belongings including our family heirlooms that date as far back as the 19th century. This is were the story takes a 180.
I informed my sales representative Andrew Lelond that I was encountering difficulties with Heather. From that moment forward he provided me with all the information I required including updates where my shipment was. I ended up receiving all our belongings before the scheduled delivery date, undamaged except for a couple of missing screws to a lamp AMJ dismantled and a mop bucket. When a move cost almost $8500 cdn, which was $1000 less than what was quoted, a couple of bucks for a mop bucket and a few screws should be expected. As well, I would like to mention the exemplary service I received from Julian. He was the driver/mover that delivered our belongings.

A big thank you to AMJ Campbell Toronto. Everyone involved, from Danny, who set things up, to Kyle and his teams was fantastic, professional, thoughtful and courteous. They all went above and beyond to provide a stress free move. I highly recommend AMJ Campbell and would not hesitate to use them in future.

My move to a new home was handled in a very professional manner by everyone at AMJ. All had a very positive outlook and were friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and very hardworking. The movers themselves treated everything with the utmost care, did not stop until the job was done and I found them personable and a pleasure to deal with. Moving home is stressful and everyone from the beginning to the end made it much easier. Thank you all for a job well done!

Needed to find a moving company that was able to be flexible, as we were unsure about our final closing date, and in case of delays, needed the mover to be able to provide short term storage. Phoned a few movers, and only AMJ Campbell was able to accommodate our specific needs. I spoke to Alda, who was able to meet us within a few days We found her to be very knowledgable and she understood our dilemma and was able to make a few suggestions that set us at ease. Very quickly we were able to set a tentative move out date, but still didn't have a firm move in date. No problem, AMJ were able to accommodate us. The crew was efficient and handled our furniture with the care we would expect. Initially, Items were to be stored for 3 weeks, but we managed to get an earlier closing, and Alda and team very quickly accommodated our request on a few days notice. Move in was a breeze, and AMJ was able to give us the same crew that moved us out, for the move in. Excellent work throughout, very highly recommended and we are very grateful for their flexibility in scheduling to meet our dates, even with short notice. Thanks to Alda, Brandon and team, job very well done !

The entire process was smooth and professional. They did everything they said there were going to do, and more! The team was helpful every step of the way; helping us to prepare for our move, dropping off necessary supplies ahead of time so we could get organized and even sent us a list of things to do.

We hire AMJ Campbell to move us from Brampton to Picton. The whole process was a breeze. Alda came to quote us and was very helpful throughout the whole process.
The movers showed up early (thankfully!) and had our entire house loaded into the truck within 2 hours.
We stayed to clean our old house but the movers still arrived at our new place only half an hour after we got here.
The unload was so much faster than I thought it would be and the mess was very limited (which is amazing considering it was snowy and wet!)
The guys also managed to come in under the estimated time and quote.

We were very impressed with the move overall. The movers were friendly, interacting with our son and dog the whole time, they were quick and efficient, and we will definitely be recommeding AMJ Campbell to friends and family.
