Once Paul and his mason arrived, they were quick , courteous and very competent. They did the job fast and at a very reasonable price. Other companies had a minimum charge which was more than double his quote and they wouldn't be doing as much work as they charged.
I would hire him again and recommend him without question!

When my wife contacted Damski Masonry, we knew that our chimney was in need of repair. Due to the age of our home, we also suspected that there were issues elsewhere.

Paul carefully inspected the outside of our home and showed me which areas required work, explaining the source of each problem and how it would be repaired. Paul and Adrian were caring and efficient in their work, and cleaned up thoroughly afterwards.

The chimney looks great now, and I am confident that the masonry will stand up for many winters to come. I'll be sure to call Paul for any future masonry needs, and to recommend Damski Masonry to friends and neighbours.

Paul and his team helped to remove a 12 foot chimney that was beginning to lean due to decay. Paul's team was fast, efficient and did a great job with the removal and subsequent parging. Paul also did a great job cleaning up afterwards. The quote for the job was also very reasonable.

Paul and his team were fantastic and their work looks great. His estimate was fair, he was on time, and communicated with us throughout the project so we were aware of what he was doing and why.
Paul's assistant was also very helpful and and did excellent work.
They cleaned up everything and even came back to touch up a bit of tuck-pointing a couple weeks later.

They seemed to do a good job on my neighbors house so I hired them to do some work on mine. Job with written quote included grinding & replacing the mortar on the entire front of my house to match the colour & look of my neighbors (attached) house. They only did this to about one third of the front, when I complained, he claimed he only gave a quote to do the third, not the remainder, a total fabrication. Now I have hired another Contractor, spending more money to finish the job they didn't. To add insult to injury, I spent over 4 hours to clean up after them! McDonalds boxes & wrappers, Tim's cups, Construction waste, almost-empty Mortar bags, pieces of broken mortar & bricks scattered everywhere totaled over 35 pound of Garbage left behind. Then I had to bring out my ladder to get the dirty old pair of work gloves they left on my roof! I also had to apologize to my neighbor & clean up the mess they left in their yard next door. Will NEVER hire this company again.

Follow up:
I was outraged to read this Contractors reply, it's a complete fabrication, so here's what happened in my last encounter with him.

Just when I thought my headaches were over, I had this Contractor banging on my door first thing in the morning a few weeks back, as he was working on my neighbor’s house. When I went out, he was in my yard angrily ranting at me over the review above, so I calmly went over the issues again. He promptly dismissed my concerns & denied all the issues I brought up despite the fact that I was looking at the missing/broken mortar on one of my porch posts that I paid him to repair. I had previously talked to him about this after he was "finished" & he said he would fix, it's even on the estimate/receipt. Then he asked about the garbage. I detailed & even listed many of the individual items of garbage that they left behind in my yard. He then turned to his helper asking if he did this to which he replied "no" so he then determined it never happened & I was making it all up. Problem is that he didn't listen then & he won't listen now.

I then left for work with him still ranting & my porch was perfectly clean. When I arrived home, there was a thick coating of concrete dust covering my entire porch & everything on it including the steps, railings, table, chairs, bins, & 2 bikes. I looked over at my other neighbors porch on the house attached to mine, (he was working on the house on the other side) literally inches away & there was absolutely no dust whatsoever. I then talked to that neighbor inquiring if they had any mess on their porch that day (maybe they had already cleaned up) & they told me no, none at all. I fully understand if someone is doing work like this, dust is inevitable & to be expected. What I don't understand is how this mess miraculously started & ended exactly my property lines so I emailed the Company Owner seeking an explanation. Here is his response:

"Tomorrow I coming and we clean that that 10 min work sorry we finish the job an rain time tomorro we have next house in dtha location we coming tomorrow morning"

I then responded:

"But you still have not answered the question....
How could this mess you chose to leave on my property possibly have missed my neighbors property literally inches away?
Why did the mess miraculously start & stop at my Property Line?"

I'm still waiting for a reply. Everything in this follow up, including his early morning rant & the mess on my porch have been captured on clear HD Video so these facts are indisputable.

Excellent workmanship. I had some crack bricks under the window replaced and flagstone stairs repaired. They came on time, kept me updated on what was required, and last but not least, they cleaned up the job site. I would definitely recommend this company and would have no hesitation in using them again.

Excellent work! Paul called me back on time, showed up on time and did an excellent job!! I would recommend him to all of you that want quality work! Price was also great. Other company gave me a quote and not only was it higher but they didn't show up for close to 3 weeks! Paul is your guy to do the work!!!!!

We were very happy with the results. Paul and his team came as arranged. They were on time, effective and very professional. Interviewed a few before hiring them, and he showed the most interest and spent time to explain our problem, negative/positive options/benefits of getting what we did.
