After reading the good reviews and getting quotes from others I decided to go with Greenfox despite the higher price to get a quality product and install, not so sure that was the correct decision in retrospect.
Ordered the windows July 28 and was promised a 8-10 week commencement date, which was longer then other companies by 2 weeks. The completion time was estimated at 5 days. The job started October 10 and was completed November 2nd. So almost 14 weeks before the job was complete. Keep that in mind when ordering.
The issues I had with the job:
1 - The bay window was order as one unit, Greenfox came out and measured for the bay window on three occasions so it could be one unit. Without anyone telling me before hand they showed up with three separate windows and ended up assembling them together onsite and capping the windows with aluminium. I specifically order full frame replacements for a reason to avoid capping, this is what they delivered. They refuse to do anything about this.
2- The doors Greenfox intalls are not custom, they take `standard' size doors and make them fit, in my case this resulted in two of the doors being raised 1.5 inches and the exterior door was again capped. The salesman does not explain this at time of sale.
3- The way they measure openings is 1/4 inch smaller than the previous windows which should leave a 1/8 inch gap around the window to be caulked. In general the gap around the frame that was caulked was larger then then this, so either the windows are measured differently or what was also said sometimes the factory will make a slightly different sized window then what is ordered.
4 - In general the caulking was quite bulky, could defiantly be neater, not sure if this is due to gap size.
5 - They install vinylbilt windows, one unit unit looks to be warped, Greenfox said they will replace the one unit which I hope they do and will update the review once it is done. Another window was likely not quite square as it had to be installed unlevel to open and close properly.
All in all for the money I would try my luck elsewhere next time.
