Do NOT commit your bathroom job to any other contractor without having invited Rory to quote. Because he is so good and does almost all the work himself, he is booked many months ahead, so call him early.

We are very happy with our totally renovated main bathroom for many reasons. Yes, we are thrilled with the look and quality we chose. But our satisfaction is also very much about how we got there. We had 4 quotations from HomeStars stars, including Rory. From start to finish, he was fair & flexible, open & honest, committed & diligent, timely and tidy. For a very reasonable cost Rory did top quality work. We especially appreciated the ease and trust of having all dealings with and almost all work done by the owner. And for each of the trades -- tile layer, plumber, electrician, carpenter, etc -- Rory is a pro. Following completion, we had a couple of small concerns and Rory responded immediately.

Rory finished renovating our bathroom last week. Both Rory and Nataya were very professional, on time, responsible, accommodating, prompt and responsive to our questions and concerns. We have no doubt we made the right choice in having Rory come do our bathroom renovation. Unlike other contractors who hire people to do the work, and whose skill and expertise you have no guarantee of (depending on the labour market), Rory is the owner/contractor/builder. You are assured of his expertise and diligence. He's been doing this for several years. Rory's a great guy, very responsible and thoughtful. We will need to renovate our other bathroom within the next 5 years, and we will for sure get Rory again.

I found Rory on homestars and hired him to renovate the kid’s bathroom in our 100 year old house. It was a complete gut down to the studs. We swapped out the original claw foot tub for a shower/tub combo with a niche, and moved the location of all the fixtures for a more functional layout. We couldn't be happier with the result- it actually turned out better than I envisioned.

Living through a renovation with a toddler isn't ideal, but everyday before Rory left, he meticulously cleaned the house so that it was safe for when our toddler came home from daycare. My husband and I were very impressed.

I went with a herringbone pattern on the walls, which ended up adding a couple days to the job and to the cost, but this was all clearly outlined in the contract. No surprises and we are thrilled with the result.

Rory renovated two bathrooms for us - a master ensuite and a family bathroom. It was a major renovation that took almost 2 months. We were extremely happy with Rory’s work and recommend that you obtain a quote from Rory. Unlike many other contractors, Rory is the person quoting and doing the actual work. We initially had Rory in to quote and then put the project on hold due to some other work that came up. Rory never pressured us and was happy to work with us when we were ready to proceed.

When we decided to finally renovate our circa 1950 main bathroom, we research contractors and received four quotes. This was a complete tear-down so we were dismayed to hear of the limitations placed on the desired size of the walk-in shower, among other things, by the first three contractors. Rory was the fourth company to provide a proposal and our every wish was considered and accommodated. His very competitive quote came in on budget, the job starting, and ending exactly as scheduled. Rory arrived every day on time and the quality of his work is second to none. Rory and his assistant recently renovated our main floor bathroom, and my husband and I are very happy with the results. It’s a straightforward project that required 2 weeks and 2 days to complete. They handled the surprises behind the wall and floor tiles very well.

We appreciated how thorough Rory is with the paper work. He provided a good project description and quote several days after our initial appointment. Since we had to make additions and revisions to the renovation as a we got closer to the start date, he presented a revised project description and quote to ensure everything’s on paper. After doing the demo and found out he had to include more work, he presented us with the final project description and updated quote.

We had a very good customer experience all throughout the process. We’re also impressed with their quality of workmanship and the cleanliness of the job site after each work day.

Rory communicated well on the work progress, as well as issues that arose. He encouraged us to look around the job site and ask him questions. He even prompted us on homework we needed to do (e.g. choose grout and wall paint colours) so that he could proceed on certain tasks the following the day.

We contacted Rory to provide us with a quote on two bathrooms as well as framing in a new bedroom. Rory was accommodating of our schedule and came to visit us quickly. He continuously followed up with us to let know when the quote would arrive. He was very thoughtful and professional. Unfortunately we have been surprised by some other work that needs to be done and have to put our bathrooms on hold at the moment. If you are reading this review, I highly recommend bringing Rory in to look at your project. He will spend the time to review and evaluate your project and not just glance at it like some others do.
