Excellednt serivice. The rugs were picked up & returned in a timely fashion. We really had to put in no effort. The company was great in folding & removing the carpets as well as opening & spreading them out on the return. Very friendly & cooperative staff. It was a delight to do business with them.

In February 2019, my wife and I had two Beni Ourain shag wool rugs we brought home from Morocco that needed cleaning - one with weeks old pet stains - so I spent some time looking around for reputable rug cleaners in my area. I came across this Homestars page for Persian Rug Specialist and the reviews were quite good.

So, I gave them a call and explained the situation - the two stains had set in for some time as we had noticed them only after coming back from a vacation. We had tried to clean them ourselves using vinegar and water without much luck. We managed also to create some minor damage to the pile in the one patch in particular due to the scrubbing.

They explained that they would be happy to have a look and let me know if they could help. After examining the stains, they set my expectations accordingly by telling me up front that the stains may not be able to be removed 100% because of how long they were left untreated, but they would do their best. They also mentioned that if it required special treatment over and above the regular cleaning, they would call and let me know beforehand.

As promised, they contacted me within a week and let me know that it would indeed need some additional cleaning (albeit at a very reasonable price), so I quickly agreed, trusting their judgement. Even with the additional cleaning cost, the amount I paid was well less than what was quoted elsewhere for what would be only a general cleaning.

Less than a week later, I was called to come and pick up my rugs. After inspecting them when getting them home, I was pleased to see that the stains were gone, and the pile that I thought I might have demolished in my cleaning attempts actually sprang back reasonably well. At a glance, the only way you'd tell there was an issue would be because of the minor difference in the pile (my fault), rather than it having been stained.

Both rugs came back very clean and soft to the touch. All in all, I'm quite pleased with the result on both rugs and would recommend Persian Rug Specialist.

Red wine was spilled on the carpet (wool hand woven). Mo came and picked up the carpet. Pick up was same day we phoned. They washed and removed the stain. Came back installed the rug and helped put the furniture back. They made several suggestions about maintaining the carpet.

They did an excellent job cleaning our carpet cleaning. They really knew what they were doing and explained it well. They called up after a day to check how the carpet was looking. Very happy with the cleaning.

It was a bit of a hike to go to Finch and Dufferin from my location, but the quality and dependability of service, cleaning and care was worth it.
I would recommend them in a heartbeat.

Read online review about this place and it does not disappoint. I had two rugs for cleaning with stains left behind by a dog, one is made with cotton and the other is a hand made rug.

After the wash, both carpets turns out to be 90 to 95% clean with most stains gone. he remaining 5 to 10% of stain is barely visible to the eyes and that does not deter me from giving a 5 star rating. Plus, the owner communicated before the wash that he cannot guarantee rugs to be 100% clean and I do not expect that based on the price that I was charged and the existent stain that was on there.

I called this company after I read their reviews.
They gave me two option , 60 dollar for cleaning my rug if I dropp it by their place or more if they come to pick it up.
Fortunately it wasn’t too heavy so I dropped it sometime on Monday and they called me on friday to let me know it’s ready.
They are fast and knowledgeable about all type of rugs and I assume it’s a long time Bussiness.
My rug came back clean and fresh and I totally recommend this company to whoever has the need of their service .

On October 25, 2018 our dog was sick on our 9 X 12 Silk Rug . I tried to remove the stain (made up of sweet potato/rice/venison) but my efforts but did nothing more than expand the stain. The rug is quite expensive and I thought the situation hopeless; that was until I noticed on the inter-net an advertisement by the Persian Rug Services company. They were claiming they could remove any stain and restore any rug back to its original condition. On October 30th, I took the rug to them to get an opinion as to whether or not the rug could be restored. My first contact on entry to the Persian Rug Services shop was with a gentleman who introduced himself as Joe and the greeting I received was incredible; he was welcoming, very polite and had a good sense of humour. Later I learned he was the owner. When I asked him if he could remove the stain and at least make the rug presentable again, he answered without hesitation, " when I finish, it will be as good or better than when it was new". I told him I was going to be out of town for a week and would pick up the rug on my return. Joe said the rug would be ready and waiting for me. As promised the rug was ready for pick up on Nov. 6th and the results were as Joe had assured me...The Rug looked fantastic; the stain was completely gone and overall the rug looked cleaner....All that is left to say is, THANK YOU Joe and staff for the fabulous service and the extraordinary results....!!
