Appliance Repair Master

Based on the positive reviews on this site i decided to call Appliance Repair Master to repair my fridge which was not cooling. The tech by name of Abi came and suggested that the start relay was bad and the part would cost 350$ to replace it. This was my only mistake as i accepted the charges for the part replacement. The part did not fix the issue and the tech came the second time and did some tinkering and said that it should work now. As expected it did not resolve the issue. At this point i had lost 350$ and a week without a working fridge. I called the company and asked for a refund as they replaced a part which at this point was not the cause of the issue. More over i checked the part on internet and it does not cost more then 15$ on ebay (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Supco-3-N1-Solid-State-Overload-Start-Capacitor-Rco410-/251231463879?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3a7e8fe9c7). what was even more ridiculous was that they said that the will not charge for the part but would charge me 120$ for the 2 visits by the tech. I don't know how that makes sense as i'm 120$ poorer and my issue is still not resolved all because the tech was not able to diagnose the problem and decided the best way to make some money was through visitation fees ! At this point i feel all the positive review on this site might be written by themselves. i would never recommend these guys to any one. customers beware.

I was extremely satisfied with the service I received . The technician arrived on time, very polite and courteous. Alex explained everything and was very tidy. The quality of his work is excellent and he took the time to make sure my fridge was working properly and in a timely manner.. The price very fair. I would definitely use this company again and I would ask for Alex. Thank you.

Great job, Abi came out to the house on time. He was reliable, efficient, and very knowledgeable. I had a problem with the elements on the stove and he fixed them without any problems. He was great. Thanks again

The dishwasher did not drain properly - I was disappointed, since the appliance is only 14 months old (General Electric).
The technician was not only courteous and very professional, he made every effort to repair the machine without replacing parts. He was successful. I very much appreciate how thorough he was and how he did not just sell me new parts.He worked really hard and it was a joy to see quality service!

My LG dryer failed and I tried to find services to help to fix the machine. I called couple of places , but nobody could give me the estimate of what price range I am looking at. I new what part I am looking for so asked for it right away. All the companies I called only offered to send a technician to do the check up. Finally I found Appliance Repair Master. Nice receptionist provided me with the options I can go with and gave me the fair estimate of what it might cost to fix my dryer. I had my machine fixed by the end of the day!. These guys work late hour which is super convenient for a working mom like me. I was amazed by their proficiency and professionalism. I recommend Appliance Repair Master to everybody!

After reading reviews here I saved my time, money and a chance not to fall with other repair companies who charge to much and not actually fix appliances.

This company tried to rip me off (and partially did).

I knew in advance that I needed the lid switch replaced on my washing machine (it was clearly broken). The guy came and confirmed it and gave me a quote of $310 dollars for the part plus installation. I thought it was too high and told him that I would rather replace the machine. I got him to repeat the price a couple of times just to make sure I heard it correctly.

So I paid him the 60 dollars for the visit. I then went online and checked the Kenmore website and found I could order the part for $30 dollars. I called a couple of other companies and got "real" quotes ($125 dollars total installed). The work only took the real guys 15 minutes.
