Quality First Roofing

Big team worked quickly and efficiently, cleaned up well, and the roof looks excellent. The true test will be in 10-15 years, but so far I'm very pleased.

The choice to go with Quality First Roofing was based on the other positive reviews posted on HomeStars.

The estimate process was quick and easy. Once measurements were take a full estimate was provided that broke down what was and was not include. There was also transparency around what could add costs to the job, and what those costs might be (largely driven by the discovery of a second layer of shingles, or more than two plywood boards needing to be replaced).

They were able to start the job ahead of schedule and arrived on-time on construction day.

Michael and his crew were professional, personable and polite.

The whole job was done in one day. There were no surprises along the way and we incurred no additional costs outside of the estimated amount. Photos were provided along the way and at job completion. The crew also did an excellent clean up job once the work was completed.

Overall I am very happy with the whole experience and would not hesitate to recommend Quality First Roofing to anyone else who comes across this page on HomeStars looking to get roofing work done.

First, I would like to comment on Peter that came to provide the initial estimate for the work. He was on-time, professional and walked me through all the aspects of what needed to be repaired and any issues they may encounter along the way.
 
The roof was being done at my elderly mother's house and Michael was able to accommodate us as soon as possible due to the leaky roof. Such care and compassion are very much appreciated.
 
The roofers were very knowledgeable and took the time to recommend what was best versus what we thought was needed. We discussed underlay and brands of shingles. They took many pictures to show us areas of concern and let us know what we might encounter under the shingles.
 
They also, as it's an older house, inspected the roof thoroughly once the old shingles were off. Luckily, the old wood was still in very good condition, so they did not need to replace anything - meaning they also did not try to charge us for unnecessary repairs.
 
The roofers cleaned up the worksite and all around and the owner of the company came by to inspect the work once it was complete. The entire job was done in a day and looks terrific!

Our experience with First Quality Roofing was exceptional.

We needed our entire roof replaced, which I had never been through before, so I needed to research and learn a lot before hiring a contractor. We're so happy that we went with Quality First. They told us what needed to be done, took time to review the quote, and explained everything. We had quotes from 2 other companies that came in hundreds/thousands of dollars higher (one quote came in at $15K). Money isn't everything and you usually get what you pay for, but based on the reviews on Homestars for Quality First, the lowest price was an added bonus.

The workers assigned to our project were so friendly and respectful. They even went so far as to bring their own case of water. The first day, they worked 13h. Every time I went out to see if they needed anything, they were happy and smiling.

By the time they left, there was no indication that anyone had been on the property at all. In addition to that, a rep from Quality First came by with a "magnet" and walked the property to ensure that any loose nails were picked up. That was impressive.

If I had to do this all over again, I don't think I'd go anywhere else. I couldn't be happier with the job Quality First Roofing did and would recommend them to my family, friends, strangers, enemies, or anyone else that might need roof work! Great job, and now hopefully, I never see them again! :-)

After contacting Quality First Roofing, they were quick to send a technician to help identify the source of a leak from our roof. Michael was a great communicator and very helpful solving the problem. It was wonderful to find a roofer that works in downtown Toronto. I would highly recommend them!

Michael at Quality First Roofing was amazing! Not only did he squeeze my small but urgent job in to his already busy schedule, but he kept me in the loop at all times about scheduling which I greatly appreciated. Igor initially came to deal with a horrid second floor dryer non-venting issue that was causing my dryer to constantly overheat. I then decided I also wanted a skylight in the bathroom as it was so dark, but a sun tunnel which I had never heard of was suggested - AND I LOVE IT!! Igor who did the work was amazing, fast and tidy. Clearly an expert! One visit, two massive and awesome jobs done! I couldn't be happier! Thank you Michael and Igor.

We are currently renovating our washroom and found out on the Monday night of the long weekend that we need to add a roof vent for our new washroom fan. I spoke with Michael on Tuesday morning and he had a member of his team out that afternoon to complete the work for us as we were in a rush. Michael had done our roof last summer and was the first and only person I called for this repair. He took great care of us last year and again this time. I highly recommend them for your next roofing project, he is very professional and reliable

Michael and his team did a fantastic job with the skylight installation for our porch. They were efficient, exact and did a great job cleaning up after the job was done. The price was good too! Overall very happy with the work!

Shingles repair and caulking were required. Michael sent someone over very promptly. Phil did an inspection and fixed what was required. He even cleared the trough. Second time using Quality Roof. Both times service and techs were extremely friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend them.

EXCELLENT!
Last week I noticed a shingle on the front right corner had lifted. I called Micheal and he came within 2 days to check the issue. He went up on the roof did the minor repair and check the entire roof just to make sure. Everything else was perfect. Micheal is a true professional and does excellent quality work. I have given relatives and friends Micheal’s number for thier roof replacements and repairs, all have been extremely happy. 5 stars!!
