Appleby systems installed a 1.5t Gree heat pump with two indoor units for us in August 2018. The units work very well and I am very satisfied with their performance, but every time they have to change from heating to cooling or vice versa, the unit goes into error mode and shuts down. The first time this happened, I called them to come and look (it was a couple of months after installation). I spoke to the sales manager and he promised to send a technician on a particular day. We are still waiting. I eventually figured out that I could solve the problem by turning off the power to the unit at the panel for several minutes, which would reset the unit. I have had to do it a few times. I don't know if that is normal or not, but I don't seem to be able to get Appleby’s attention. It is now November 2019.
I called them again last week to temporarily remove the outdoor unit so some work could be done to the foundation. The same sales manager quoted me $650 to remove and reinstall the outdoor unit. After falling off my chair, I agreed and he would have come today to do the work. Again no-one showed up and no communication was received on the matter. I am going to get someone else to do it for me. I have been trying to support a local business, but if they don't care about customer service, they will have to lose my support.
