As a new homeowner, I was so thankful for the expert insight that George and Mark provided with their inspection report and the corresponding repairs. They went above and beyond the call of duty with their prompt responses to emails, texts and phone calls and suggestions of how to do things more efficiently. George did a home inspection for the house we purchased last month as an investment property. He identified a number of safety issues that we are correcting before we advertise the house for rental. He was very thorough - he even wriggled through the cramped crawlspace to find the municipal water shutoff valve. We highly recommend George and would use him again.

George recently did a pre listing inspection for us. We had heard that if we had the house pre inspected it would reduce our liability for any future issues and attract more offers. Boy were we right. We had over 20 offers with several asking to see the inspection report. We were able to address some of the issues prior to listing and provide proof of professional repairs. I would recommend George and this type of inspection to anyone.

Last year I had water coming into my basement and didn't know where it was coming from. My floorboards were all wet in a certain area, so I knew it was probably coming from one side of the basement, but didn't know which wall. After looking around I was told that a home inspection company should have the tools to help pinpoint the source of the crack. This would then make it easier to get the problem fixed. George from Home Sweet Home Inspections came to check the problem and was quickly able to identify two areas as the entry source for the water. George took out a small piece of the drywall and indicated that by pinpointing the source this way, that we would keep the drywall damage to a minimum. Possibly a small portion of a wall as opposed to multiple walls. George was very professional and was even able to refer a company that came in and repaired the cracks for a very reasonable price.

We got connected with George through Homestars for our newly purchased house in Hespeler, Cambridge. We bought our detached house built in mid 80's without pre-inspection. We were worried about the condition of the house as a first time buyer of an old house. George was quick to respond and set the inspection on closing day. He was very detail; basement, roof, garage, shade, attic, water, furnace, electric- everything you name it. After his inspection for more than 2 hours, George took us walk through the whole house and pointed out his observation. He provides a detail inspection report with pictures.
