Unreliable Company, Nick or the owner does not return phone calls. Nick already collected 90% payment without finishing my work. Promise to finish in 2 weeks, it's been 1 month and still waiting.

Despite the negative reviews I had contracted the job to ABC thru Carlie, the Salesman. He is Pat's (the owner) nephew. I found them to be very professional, accessible, on time, prompt and most of all, very efficient. Pat was a little rough around the edges for an owner but I am use to these types of old school construction companies.

They sent a team of 5 guys to frame the project and poured, stamped and completed my project off and on over the course of 3 weeks because of weather issues and the fact that I had multiple levels and multiple pours. But in the end, they worked 12 hours days and met my every demand. Even when things changed on the job sire because of my oversights, they were accommodating.

I did however go with another company for the Paving aspect of the job because frankly they were upfront with me and told me that there is no more profit in paving for them so they are concentrating mostly on concrete at this time. Perhaps this is why my service went off without a hitch, unlike others.

Either way, I am under no illusions that my concrete wont crack, it will, this is Canada and the frost is relentless, but every precaution was taken to control cut the concrete in specific spots to minimize this issue. Time will tell.

I am sorry to hear bout others having issues with ABC but I cannot be more pleased with their efforts and finished product.

ABC Concrete or ABC Dufferin Paving or ABC Paving (2000) LTD. To what ever name this company operates under. I've given you the entire year to come fix the issues with your workmanship and took your word that you would fix it, but you haven't. So I have to rate your workmanship as poor and customer service horrible. At least it's comforting to see I'm not the only one Nick has ignored this year for repairs.

Sales person was nice and ensured us he had a hard working skilled team, but the work they did for us was full of flaws, from the design, water pooling on the landing, and chipping on driveway in less than in year. It was put in May 2010, promises of repairs for Fall 2010 turned into Spring 2011 and every month after when I would call and ask when the repairs were going to be done. Until they all together stopped returning my phone calls.

The company was very polite and informative when they got the contract then...they were off schedule by 3 months, concrete poured off level and water going into house, cracks everywhere that they refused to repair, poor workmanship throughout, improper parging...took forever for them to complete project, poorly sealed in that I had to do it again myself, cracked city sidwalk and curve that they refused to repair and broke cast iron gate that cost me $2,000 to repair! SAd part is that they were PAID with only $1,000 outstanding....When I asked for them to fix the deficits was told that they dont do that...then threatened with the MOB if I didn't give them the $1,000!!!!!!
RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!!!!!!

First of all, don't bother with this company.
We signed the contract with This company due to our friend's recommendation and low cost. However the renovation never started because the sales rep could not tell us start date even several weeks after the start date initially scheduled. The sales rep never answers your call, nor returns your calls. Then I realize the address of ABC Dufferin Paving listed on yellow page is a residential house, and the company looks like a one man company. I finally fed up and terminated the contract. Lucky we did not pay deposit.
The company is also under the name of ABC Concrete and ABC Paving (2000) Ltd.

ABC constructed our concrete patio, shed pad and driveway 2 years ago. No major problems with workmanship. Must have been lucky, the crew that showed up did a very good job, clean up afterwards could have been better.

Nick quoted us from ABC ; very nice guy very respectful.
Had to work out a good price; but managed to get me a price in my budget.
Job looked great. Fanatastic. Did my walkway, and side walkway.
Month later got a few cracks, chips, and a bit of flooding in bedding.
Left few messages with no return calls. When I did get a return call I did not get a answer of confidence. We have face paving that just fell off ; looks bad.
Nick promised he would be back this weekend. (May 28-29th) We will wait and see the outcome. This review will be updated. Readers stand by on "The Callback"
I am still pending to do driveway; maybe there is no good trades out there anymore. -george-

The Callback -- Its may 31st -- no return call from Nick even though I did speak to him, he is "ignoring" his workmanship. I have 1 year warranty like he states, -- we will see how far this will go, but I dont recomend the services.!

Poor workmanship. Damage done to property while on the job. Poor follow-up. Not honouring 1 yr workmanship guarantee. Quality of either work or material is substandard -- not sure which since the the landing is chipped after not even 1 year.

ABC Dufferin Concrete was a good work because the staff was ok because there was no sense of urgency with them. When we questoned him on the pavement he seemed a little defensive. I voiced my concern and he said to me we're the ones doing the job. So this was a little concerning to me. At the end of the day were pleased at the work that was done.
