AGM Renovations

I was skeptical of the warranty program but Chris from AGM Renovations worked with me on the outstanding items and took care of them in a timely and efficient manner.

Professional, and hard working. Project manager Jason was great and contractor Charles was a rockstar! Listen, I won't sugar coat this any more than it needs to be; this was not the cheapest renovation quote out there, we paid for it, but let me tell you the service was top notch. We never had to wonder if they'd show up when they said they would, like so many contractors out there. They built our bathroom from start to finish in 2 weeks and it's awesome. You get what you pay for and we couldn't be happier. A+ job guys.

After more than a year of trying to get our concerns addressed properly, we are resigned to remaining disappointed with the work done. The frustration is based on the high expectations we had in terms of advertising, sales pitch and cost; however, we ended up with a job that meets minimal industry standards. Our bathroom looks great now, but we spent over two months doing work ourselves that should have been done by AGM.

I chose AGM after a recommendation. Was not disappointed after a whole basement renovation. Ricardo was our project manager and was very quick to respond to any questions I had. Anything that needed to be addressed or fixed was done quickly, and with no arguments. Thank you, AGM and thanks for having such professionals as Ricardo making the process quick.

After expressing concerns with the project manager and the poor job done (under powered bathroom fan, cold air from outside entering behind walls , lack of insulation behind the walls just to name a few) I was threatened with interest charges if I didnt sign the completed job document. I was offered $200 dollars as compensation for the poor work. I refused the money and asked for the corrections to be made. AFM refused. After I posted a google review the harassing phone calls began. I was offered $2000. As a 1 time payment to take down my post. I refused. Two additional calls were made. Each time I refused. Now AGM is lashing out. A bad experience just keeps getting worse. When will it end? Will they ever fix their poor quality job? At the very least hopefully the harassment ends.

Used AGM for a full kitchen renovation including flooring in kitchen and adjacent family room. The first red flag that I ignored, is that they don't even come to your house to give a quote, it's all done online. They don't come to your home until you have signed a contract and paid a deposit. From the second they took our deposit it was a a bad experience. If I could go back in time I'd rather lose the $2500 deposit and just start over and use someone else. The project didn't start on time, it took far longer than they said it would, many weeks where nothing was being done and zero communication. Cabinets arriving damaged. Flooring damaged during installation. The cabinet people never cleaned up afterwards, and I had to spend hours vacuuming and mopping and dusting every time they came. They didn't clean the cabinets after installation was complete. We had to vacuum all the sawdust out of the cabinets ourselves, plus clean the door fronts from dust and finger prints. Who turns over a dirty kitchen as a finished product? We have a drawer that has never worked since day one despite several attempts to fix it. I have several doors that have imperfections in them that I just let go because I was tired of dealing with AGM. Several chips and imperfections in the crown molding that were just caulked over. Six months later the flooring is coming up at the seams in many locations. The attention to detail and quality is severely lacking. After spending all this money, we are certain that in the not too distant future we are going to have to re-do quite a bit of the work. Don't waste you money with AGM!

We had our basement renovated from start to finish with AGM. Our Project Manager, Ricardo, made the process smooth for us and was there to help with any questions or concerns we had along the way. AGM did an amazing job fulfilling our vision and we are pleased with the final results.

The installers were amazing, and the work done was quality. AGM has rectified any issues we might have had, and we are fully satisfied.

The design of our bathroom was changed without our consent after the project manager checked out, never showed up, so the renovator built the bathroom without a linen closet that was supposed to be installed, a linen closet we purchased and that was literally drawn on the design. He claims the project manager never gave him the design. When we called the project manager to tell her she came running over to our house to talk to the renovator but ultimately never remedied the situation because it was built without properly measuring.

I subsequently wrote a bad review and was presented with legal papers stating AGM refused to complete the job unless I signed papers agreeing to remove the negative review and agree not to criticize the company. But there was no guarantee they would finish the work.

But it looks like the review was removed from Google against my will anyways.

It's been almost 2 months and this remains unresolved. The people at AGM go beyond behaving rudely and unprofessionally. I believe they are bad people. I have had to hire a cleaning company after tiles were cut in one room, debris left in my child's bedroom. My husband talked me out of suing them but that is the only way to get fair treatment at this point. I've gone from tears to experiencing health problems as a result of the stress of dealing with these people. Hiring this company has been a major mistake.
