What an amazing experience.

I decided to hire AGM Renovations to have my condo revitalized. I knew it required a great deal of work and I wanted use a professional team who I could trust to get the job done on time, at a price agreed upon, and at a level that met my high standards. They hit it out of the park on all levels.
My kitchen, both bathrooms, electrical panel, and even a utility sink are now completely renovated and I am a happy man.
What I am really impressed with is how seamless the whole process was. I met with the designer Kelly, and in one afternoon( although it was a little long ) the whole project was designed and materials selected. The next step was to set the start date and a project coordinator was assigned. Her name is Saba, and she is a gem. She coordinated all the trades people and made sure I was kept in the loop about what part of the project was going to be worked on. She updated me with emails and phone calls, and went out of her way to make sure I was looked after. All the trades people AGM Renovations used on my project were professional, experienced, courteous, friendly, accommodating, helpful and respectful of my home. I could see they all cared about the type of work they were doing and I was left feeling with a sense of trust knowing that each job was being done correctly.
I am happy I made the choice to use AGM Renovations for my project, and I would make the same choice again without any reservation.

When my spouse and I moved into a new construction home, we knew the basement would eventually be finished. When we found out we were expecting our first child, the need for the extra finished space was expedited. When we first moved in, we hired a designer (not AGM) and that experience was miserable, over budget but 300%, and the work done needed so much fixing afterwards.

So, having dealt with contractors who never showed up, did shoddy work when they did, added on massive hidden fees, and leave items unfinished, finding a reputable company was a must for us.

AGM fit that bill: it is large enough, fully insured, and we were given a no-obligation meeting with Lyndsie to go over what to expect. AGM also assigned a project manager to us, Karim, who was just such a joy to deal with. We got a call promptly from Alexey regarding scheduling, and Karim showed up on site to go over the plan.

Incredibly, the work started on the day promised, upgrades chosen were incredibly reasonable and available, and the project was finished by the promised date. We couldn't believe that the framers managed to do everything in one day, the electrical and plumbing were done the next day, and drywall started the day after. There were almost no days when no workers arrived, and they were incredibly courteous when present (none smoked on our property, they were quiet, and did not leave any messes indoors or outdoors).

We needed a gym area, general walls/floors, and a bathroom, so we wanted the areas to be special. We now have a relatively large home spa of a bathroom with a 40 sq ft steam shower, the gym area fits our needs perfectly including installation of outlets for mounted TVs and Wall mirrors, and a yoga nook with colour-changing mood lighting. As a bonus, Karim helped us plan out an area for our little one with safety in mind and decorative wainscoting to make the area more grand!

I cannot recommend AGM enough: the communication alone is reason to give them a call.

The final product looks great, but we had some challenges to get to this point. Generally, poor communication and coordination; some examples:
- Project Manager (PM) was minimally on site; relied on me for updates on status of the project, work completed, work to be done.
- Team was on site later than contracted time on 4 occasions; after the third instance, we reported this and were told it would be addressed. After the fourth instance, we started giving team a 30 minute warning.
- Plumbers had to come 6 times; twice they were unable to complete work because materials were unavailable or other work was not completed; once they were only able to complete part of required work because a delivered element was wrong.
- PM stated aim was to respond to emails/texts within 6 hours; on two occasions, response was at least 48 hours later.
- One item supplied by AGM was incorrectly packaged by manufacturer and required a replacement. Manufacturer provided replacement promptly, but original part could not be found for exchange until plumbers returned.
- Vanity shelf does not fit with configuration of plumbing; we were not notified of this, shelf was just left against a wall.
- PDI (deficiencies) visit was not clearly indicated as such before the visit. PM wanted me to sign PDI report without reviewing; on review of report, one deficiency was missing.

Several things were damaged, defective, wrong, or installed incorrectly and had to be fixed:
- Tub (damaged, required repair)
- Custom floor vent (defective, required repair)
- Vanity top (wrong top delivered, additional holes had to be drilled)
- Transition strip (installed incorrectly, had to be redone)
- Baseboard (one piece installed incorrectly, had to be redone)

We will not be referring anyone.

I'm extremely satisfied with the roofing job done by AGM Renovations. The crew was punctual, skilled, and left my roof looking impeccable. I am very pleased with their work.
