I would highly recommend Black Sheep for anyone looking to purchase a mattress, no matter the size. We purchased a bed for our child and were very impressed with Christian. He is very knowledgeable and professional and goes above and beyond for his customers. And we are very impressed with our organic mattress as well.

We are very happy to have found Christian and Black Sheep Mattress Co. I did enough research to know that I didn't want to purchase a commercial mattress through the big box stores, Homestars was a helpful tool in giving us the confidence to contact Christian and then meeting him just solidified this for us. We have now had our King mattress and new pillows for just over a week, the first few days were an adjustment but both my husband and I are sleeping so comfortably and best of all no pain! With the use of an organic cover and high quality materials my husbands allergies are not as apparent either. Thank you Christian! We will be returning customers for my sons mattress in the Spring.

The best money I've spent in years. I was overwhelmed with the big mattress stores and their 200 mattresses that were all pretty much the same. The Black Sheep experience was a complete 180. Go into the unassuming shop, be greeted by someone who knows mattresses and cares about what he does. Lay down. Do a Goldilocks.Choose a mattress, get it made and delivered exactly as promised. We changed our mind about the firmness. Christian came to our home, picked up the mattress (on a weekend) and returned it the same day. The quality and workmanship is outstanding and the result is a perfect night's sleep. We also appreciate that it is made of natural materials, no mystery fibre and foam. Go get one!

We found Christian through Google searching. He's very personable and knowledgeable. We loved the idea of supporting a local, small, green business. Our mattress is great! It's got a different feel to it than memory foam or high-tech springy things you find at the big boxes. It takes a bit of time for the mattress to break in to your shape, but once it does you can't wait to go to sleep every night. We are super happy with our purchase.

I was introduced to Christian and his company through a group in Calgary promoting sustainable products. I was immediately impressed with what Christian was doing, using organic, local as possible and sustainable materials to hand make an excellent product.

Soon after I purchased a mattress, and after eight months I am very thankful I did. After suffering with lower back pain for years, I can truly say the Suffolk matress has eliminated the pain I was feeling. It's an excellent product that I hope to enjoy for years to come.

Best of all Christian is very helpful and I am confident that he would do what ever it took to resolve any issues that might ever come up. It is a very comforting feature when you consider that a big box matress cannot be altered in any way and you're stuck with it once your 60 day return period is up.

I am an environmental lawyer (educated tree hugger) and mom. I researched the off-gassing of our furniture and decided to get rid of all our old mattresses. We wanted a truly non-chemical mattress made out of 100% "good for you" products. I spent a full morning with Christian at his workshop and grilled him on his products, materials, workmanship and "green" knowledge. He has both the depth and range of knowledge to make a truly green mattress. What sold me at last was the book on his desk. He was reading about back disorders. The man is building his mattresses with every aspect in mind, even the human body. The end result is a firm comfortable mattress that I know will not give my baby girl cancer! And she loves it. My two older boys fight over who gets to sleep in bed with her each night. And the price is a few hundred less than the other so called organic mattresses that slip in some not so natural materials to make their mattresses profitable. And this mattress can grow with her. She can add layers and take this mattress to college with her in 14 years! Plus, Christian refitted our old box spring and drove 40 mins into the country to deliver. Good person and good product.

Both the product and customer service are of the highest quality. Ordered my mattress and had it hand delivered on-time as promised.
