Appleseed Barrhaven/ Westend

Very pleased with Appleseed's service. Clients are notified by email when driver will be in the area. Driveway is plowed as soon as realistically possible, and driver returns after city plow has come by. Driver also return to do a tidyup when possible. We have already recommended Appleseed to neighbours and the line of blue snowposts in the area just shows that they are pleased too.

First year using Appleseed in Barrhaven and we are extremely pleased with the service. The crew have been great and thorough with clearing our driveway. Also appreciate the emails and updates we receive too. Keep up the great work!

I lucked out this year with a tractor driver who is always on top of the snow clearing, although I'm sure they all are. He always clears as much as he can so I can get out in the morning, then does a full clear when I'm gone. He clears a nice, wide area right up to my step practically. As a busy single mom, I find this service invaluable. Keep up the excellent work, Appleseed :)

I've used Appleseed for 5 years now and other than new season growing pains which are very quickly resolved by Ken the owner, the service has been great. Appleseed sends out an email to its clients about their strategy to deal with a storm and while the times might shift a bit, they always show up. I also appreciate the GPS notices they send so you know when the driver is in your area.

Obviously I'm happy with the service and have recommended them to others.

I am a first year customer and am very happy with Appleseed. Their service has been prompt and efficient. I like that they send e-mails to notify me when my snow will be removed. I have only had one inquiry and they responded immediately and promptly took care of my concern. They even did a courtesy clearing that I wasn't expecting after a few cm of snowfall just to tidy up! I would definitely recommend them to friends and family.

This is my first year Appleseed - I'm really impress with their service and the response time. I had one issue and it was addressed the very next day. I get emails telling me when my snow will be removed, even a picture of my driver. They really make the service personal and they really care about you!

Appleseed is punctual, thorough and respond to any inquiries we may have, promptly and accurately. This is our 4th year with them and we are very happy with their service!

Always have had great service of snow removal in the past 3years we have been an Appleseed customer. I find the emails are great communication as well. I tend to find out the weather from these emails. They do a quick job initially to ensure all their clients get cleared of snow and come back and do a great job later. I would highly recommend them.

Let's be honest, there are a lot of snow removal companies in the Ottawa area, and I've had a few over the years... one that took all of my money and came twice to clear the snow, one that did an ok job but was rude on the phone, and now I've been with Appleseed (Barrhaven/Westend) for over 3 years - happily : )
I'm not saying the company is perfect, no company is...but they are really good and always trying to improve.
What I like about them is that the owner, Ken, is always communicating with his customers. He sends informative (and often funny) emails to customers with regards to his snow removal PLAN when there is a storm coming. He actually has a plan that he implements so that he can make the best use of his tractors and employees to best serve his customers. And there is a 'tracking system' email you can sign up for so that you know when the tractor is in your area, if for example you need to move your car out of the laneway!
This past weekend was a storm that included snow, freezing rain, rain, and more snow. The driver that looks after my area, Justin, did a fantastic job, so much so that the storm didn't really affect us much. The laneway was cleared wide enough for our 2 cars and he was able to come back to clear once the sidewalk city plows had been by (this most likely due to 'the plan' and the owner's way of tracking the city plows).
I would recommend this company if you are looking for reliable snow removal.
