We needed to refresh and add more curb appeal to our front steps and walkway as they had not been touched in over 25 years. From our initital meeting with Sal LaVerde, we knew Groundscape Construction was for us. Even though our project was small by construction company standards, Sal was very responsive to our needs, taking time to explain every phase of work that would be done, answering our questions and providing us with honest recommendations. Sal's crew was also amazing--courteous, professional, and attentive to detail. When the work was completed, they left things neat and orderly. We couldn't be happier with the finished project! A special shout out goes to Papa LaVerde--Sal's dad--whom we also had the pleasure of meeting during the construction phase of our project! It was very obvious from where Sal gets his strong work ethic. Based on our very positive experience, we highly recommend Groundscape Construction!

Sal and his crew were amazing and we couldn't be happier with the finished project! From the initial meeting, to concept, to construction and completion, Sal was so easy to deal with, incredibly responsive, honest and easy to talk to. The professionalism and attention to detail of the entire crew was very impressive and they all made their best efforts to accommodate our needs and wishes as best they could. They were always open and suggestive of ideas in order to create our dream landscape with keeping our budget in mind. Most importantly, everyone that worked on our project from the crew to the contractors were all good people which is just a reflection of the standards that Sal upholds. Sal and his team is absolutely fantastic. We did roughly around 7 quotes to have our front steps, along the house and patio redone. Even though Sal's quote was not the cheapest, i would say medium range, we decided to go with him. His professionalism, wealth of knowledge, creative approach and attention to details made me stand out. As with any project, there were some unanticipated issues that were surfacing and Sal went over and beyond to recommend the best approach and was very nice to even a big discount for something that we did not plan to do but he said that he would better give discount to make it right and beautiful then to make it cheaper. Thank you. Sal and his team worked very hard to have the job done properly and did not rush to make it faster. Very respectful team. Cleaned the area every day after work. Sal and his team Mike, Vito, David and Jordan were absolutely amazing and produced a product we will be proud of for years to come. It started with the visit to discuss our ideas, every home owner desires the Taj Mahal but the reality is quite different. Sal worked with us to produce a concept which met our vision without breaking the bank. The attention to detail from selection and recommendation of materials, subsurface preparation, the extensive weeping tile system, organizing of their trailer, delivery and storage of material down to the final cleaning after completion was truly impressive and appreciated resulting in the confidence that Sal and his team knew what they were doing and the final product would be built to last. Access was their greatest challenge as the fence was already in place (only 4’ clearance), which meant they had to wheel barrow materials in and out up a ravine (these guys are truly workhorses). Despite these challenges the pace at which they worked was much faster than expected. The hardscaping in particular; patio, stepping stone and the masterpiece steps have exceeded expectations, could not be happier. There is no hesitation is recommending Sal and his team, the final product will be well worth it. Quality is always in demand; I would strongly advise contacting at least the Fall before in order to ensure a spot can be booked the following Spring/Summer. I would like to thank Sal, Mike and the crew for transforming my backyard to a beautiful getaway oasis. I am truly blown away with the results. Sal is very knowledgeable, perfectionist (attention to detail), identifies any problems that require immediate attention (ie drainage).
