We recently hired 20/20 Master Home Inspections to do the inspection on our new house. Lucas and Sebastian were absolutely fantastic. As a homebuilder himself Lucas has a relentless eye for detail and craftsmanship. They were extremely thorough not only in terms of items they brought to our attention but in ensuring my fiancee and I understood everything they were pointing out. As first time home buyers I cannot express how comforting it was to have Lucas and Sebastian take the time to review everything they found in such a way we didn't have to be builders ourselves to understand them.

That level of care flowed through into the report we were promptly provided which like the inspection itself was thorough, concise and extremely easy for us to follow with lots photos and notes, as well as tips on how to keep your home running smoothly. Their detailed report made it easy for us to approach our builder and we were able to get them to address all of the items Lucas and Sebastian had identified.

Lucas and Sebastian are direct and unapologetic about how detailed they are while inspecting your home. But that's exactly why we felt so comfortable in proceeding with the purchase.

Lucas and Sebastian arrived promptly on time and immediately commenced the home inspection. Any deficiences found were passed on to me along with recommendations on how best to remedy the situation. Both are very knowledgeable and thorough in their inspection going above and beyond what I believe a normal inspection would entail. Both guys are courteous and respectful but the acid test is would I use them again. ABSOLUTELY!

Lucas and his team were over the top in the best way possible. They saved us with Kitec plumbing in the in floor heating system. Found many problems and brought them to our attention.

we had a (new to us ) home inspection done by lucas 20/20 our appointment was for 9-00am ,I got there around 8-45am and lucas and his guys where already there and had got started on the inspection , amazing thing these days a contractor showing up early and getting on with the job, Lucas was great to deal with very knowledgeable in all aspects of the home ,and his crew never stopped ,anything I wasn't sure about or had questions about ,he took the time to explain them to me and give some suggestion's to fix things ,with all the information I was receiving I was starting to get a bit overwhelmed and was worried about not remembering some things ,but Lucas put me at ease when he told not to worry everything will written in a report with pics, on the day the inspection was done was also the last day of our offer on the house, so I was concerned about the timing and when I would receive the report ,again Lucas said not to worry he would get it out to me a.s.a.p. and he had it to me within an 1-1/2 hours ,and the detail with pics in the report was brilliant ,some stuff I had forgot about was there and with the added pics it made everything so simple ,I would absolutely recommend 20/20 home inspections if you want a extremely detailed easy to understand report on any home ,one thing to remember though if you want 20/20 to sugar coat your home they are probably not for you lucas is a straight shooter and calls it as he see"s it which is one off the things I really like about him ,100% recommend 20/20 home inspections Paul Williamson Calgary

I live in Ireland with a house in Calgary and after receiving a very long list of issues from my tenant and zero support from my management company, I started the search for a home inspector. As I had no help to point me in the right direction, I had to rely on the reviews of home inspectors in the Calgary area. There were several that had very good reviews but I needed more than that. I needed an inspector who would not only inspect my property but someone who would go through in detail the issues I faced. I needed someone who had the courage of their convictions and stand behind their findings in a constructive way. I know very little about Canadian homes, how they are built or indeed how to tackle repair issues. Most of all I needed a professional, honest person to point this Irish lady in the right direction.
This I found in Lucas from 20/20 Master Home Inspections.
He was very responsive to my initial emails of inquiry and spoke to me on the phone to establish my requirements. I felt reassured that I had the found the man for the job. As this was a matter of some urgency, Lucas booked an early inspection date for me and as I have a seven hour time difference with Canada, he was happy to liaise with my tenant. He arrived on the day and time booked with my tenant and was accompanied by a second colleague. Both men were polite, professional and extremely knowledgeable. Mine is an older property and I'm sure was very challenging. From the slippy green organic material on the roof to the furnace room in the basement, Lucas left no stone unturned. The result was a thoroughly comprehensive report. This in depth document document was exact in its detail of not only the repair issues I faced, but suggested remedies for these issues. Lucas followed the report up with a phone conversation to make sure I understood his report and to check if I had any questions. Of course I had lots of questions and he was patient and kind explaining the things I did not understand and suggesting the order of my To Do List. I benefited from the fact that Lucas is also a home builder and that gives him a unique perspective on, not only the issues he found in my home, but pointing out a way forward from what I felt was a totally overwhelming position. Instead of just issuing the report to me, he made sure he left me armed with knowledge of the repairs required in great detail and how to prioritise them. I firmly believe that if I had gone with a different inspector I would be so daunted by the issues in my home that, I would have been left feeling paralyzed. Instead I am moving forward with a repairs list but with the knowledge of exactly of what needs to be done and in the order suggested by Lucas. This way I can direct works on my home in Calgary from Ireland with confidence in a cost effective way. He has a website 2020mhi which displays a trades section where Lucas has listed all the trades you could possibly need and that he trusts to do a great job. He has a Tips Blog where he shares his expertise and money saving tips to help people become confident homeowners. My only regret is that I left Canada before I found Lucas. My search was for a good home inspector who would help me in an area where I knew nothing and that filled me with terror. What I found was a fantastic home inspector who is professional, honest and patient and whose helping hand feels like that of a big brother.

Lucas recently performed a home inspection for me. He was excellent! During the home inspection, Lucas, and two of his employees, were at the house for 4 hours. We went through each room of the house in detail. Lucas carefully explained all aspects of the house to me, identified deficiencies, and provided me with tips for future care/maintenance. In addition, he gave me advice regarding information to request from the seller, and due diligence to perform on our end, before signing off on the house purchase.

Quite frankly, I'm not someone who is impressed easily, but Lucas, and his team, exceeded my expectations for the home inspection.
