Exceptional work done on a semi-detached house in crowded urban setting. Meticulous preparation, expert and efficient installation, excellent cleanup. Friendly and communicative workers. High quality materials. Precise workmanship. Any extra-scope work was quickly communicated and clarified, along with all feasible options and costs. More expensive than budgeted but really the only company who was willing to take on this complex project, which involved a flat roof portion, sloped shingle roof, skylight replacement, custom roof vent construction and replacement, ice fence and partial eavestroughs. Provided an extended warranty on work. Excellent documentation of insurance, warranty, etc. Completed work on time.

The house is a back split and had water issues where the roof meets the siding. Turns out step flashing was a mess, no wall flashing along with wonky siding. Called a number of contractors but Jason at Kovar was the only company that did not try to up sell me...to do more work than what was required. That's integrity. Jason's communication and attention to detail was greatly appreciated. Alex worked tirelessly to get the job done to an impeccable standard and his troubleshooting ensured no water or critters will enter this home in the future. Kevin's corner piece to have vinyl and aluminum siding meet up seamlessly was great as it eliminated a more extensive job. It was a pleasure to deal with each of them. I would highly recommend this company to anyone.

ROOFING:
After checking out a number of potential contractors, we decided to engage Kovar to re-shingle our roof. The key deciding factors were the favourable ratings we found on-line, the timely turn-around Jason provided with a quote for the work to be done and the excellent communication before we sealed the deal.

Upon contract signing, Jason provided a scheduled start date and took the time to explain the process from start to finish. His crew showed up on time, worked from sun up to sunset and took extra care to clean up the work area after each day. We are extremely pleased with the results and we would not hesitate to recommend Kovar to our friends and neighbours.

SIDING:
We also asked Jason to also provide us with a quote to replace the aluminum siding on the house that had been badly damaged in a hail storm. We did our due diligence and got quotes from two other contractors but decided to go with Kovar as they provided us with the best pre-sales experience in terms of working with us on options and arriving at the best solution for our house.

As with the roofing job they did for us, they did not disappoint. Kevin, Alex and Ben were friendly and courteous but more importantly, their attention to detail and quality of craftsmanship is absolutely top notch!

We are extremely pleased with the end result and have had a number of our neighbours compliment us on the new look of our house. We would highly recommend Kovar to anyone looking to re-side their house.

One of the most dreaded expenses as a homeowner. After interviewing many roofing companies we choose Kovar Contracting. Jason Kovar was very honest and up front about His recommendations and about how his team works. On the day they arrived, the foreman Jamie introduced himself and set out the expectations. It was fairly easy from there. They were all wearing harnesses at all times which eased my concern. Would hate to see anyone fall of our roof. They left the site spotless and now we have comfort in knowing our roof will get us through the next 17 yrs.

On a Friday night, I had section of my fence collapse, taking with it a small part of a retaining wall. Kovar had someone out over the weekend to take a look and get me an estimate, with work completed within a week. The price was very reasonable with the section of retaining wall they replaced is actually better than what was there.

There was excellent communication with the company (Jason). Prompt and courteous. Appointments were mutually agreed upon and kept. Installation was totally satisfactory. Installer (Alex) was skilled, efficient and personable. It was a pleasure to have him working on our house. We are happy to recommend Kovar Contracting to others based on the work they did for us.

Jason is very professional and provides excellent customer service. He answered all my questions in a timely manner and was patience while we made our decision about which company to go with. His prices were competitive.

They scheduled us and the job took a few days longer with the rain but that is expected.

The roof looks great. There were a few minor items for follow up that when pointed out Jason immediately had fixed. His response is immediate and this goes with his strong service focus.

Jason's team also provides other services and he promptly provided us quotes for those areas so we would have an idea of the work for the future. There was no pressure or rush on selecting any business. He let us review and take our time.

I contacted Kovar Contracting to get a quote to replace a small section on my eavestrough and repair the downspout. Although they were busy with other larger jobs they quickly sent someone to provide a quote and were able to fit the job in between their other jobs. Alex came and did a perfect job, exactly what I had asked for, and he cleaned up all the debris.
I was very happy with this company and would certainly use them again. I will recommend and refer them to anyone who needs any of the services this company offers.
