We moved into a partially renovated home that needed quite a lot electrical, plumbing and finishing work.

Kurmak and their contractors were wonderful to work with. We were always informed of any issues that arose and received professional, timely advice from the Kurmak team. There was always someone working on the project and it was completed within a reasonable timeframe.

We felt Kurmak was honest and transparent and would certainly recommend them for renovation projects.

We are extremely happy with our decision to go with Kurmak Builders for our home renovation. We truly can not believe how they transformed our home of 20 years into such a beautiful and functional space. The team at Kurmak listened to our vision for our home and then offered constructive feedback and suggestions. Together with their team of professionals plans were drawn up and our list of wishes for our home became reality. The 3D rendered perspectives and the architectural drawings were greatly appreciated and helped ensure everything turned out exactly how we envisioned it!
Our renovation included our kitchen, nook, living room, powder room, front entry, stairway, bonus room and ensuite in the master bedroom. Plus it included the addition of a loft area in the two storey foyer. Throughout the renovation our family of five continued to live in the home and Kurmak was very accommodating. They provided us with a temporary kitchen sink and made sure the work areas were kept clean and safe throughout the entire project.
We enjoyed working with the various professionals at Kurmak Builders. Each team member was professional and brought their own expertise to their role. We valued the feedback and suggestions each of them offered. When the unexpected occurred and issues popped up, they were dealt with quickly and professionally. Kurmak Builders works very well as a team. We found out very quickly into our renovation that they truly are all about customer service and ensuring their customer is happy with the work being completed.
We were also impressed with the various trades Kurmak Builders chooses to work with. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting down with Prestige Custom Millwork to redesign our kitchen; the transformation of our kitchen space is amazing. We are also very happy with the custom millwork completed by Cedro Fine Woodwork in the living room and office area. The workmanship is fantastic and the custom pieces add functionality and aesthetically to our living spaces. All the trades people were very respectful and professional; each did their part to make our renovation a success. We couldn't be more thankful for all the care and effort that went into our home renovation project.
Our renovation was completed on time and met, if not exceeded, each and every one of our expectations. We have already recommended Kurmak to others and will continue to do so. Thanks to the entire Kurmak team for their integrity, professionalism and friendship throughout our project. We miss having you in our home but are so pleased to be living in and enjoying our newly renovated spaces.

After reviewing a couple companies we found online and getting their estimates we decided to go with Kurmak because the process was the best. From consultation to schedules and the work being done we were extremely satisfied with results for our kitchen remodel and bathroom redo. Our kitchen is a beautiful contemporary design and bathroom is like a dream spa now. We are redoing the basement next year with Kurmak

All details related to the walkout, materials, and project execution were professionally defined during project design phase, which resulted in a high quality renovation, per original budget, and most important, on-time.

We hired Kurmak Builders in 2010 and were so thrilled with the quality of their work that we called Frank again this past September to replace all the windows in our home.

In meeting with Frank to go over his proposal, we informed him that we would potentially be moving to Red Deer and felt replacing the windows would increase our selling price. We were completely ready to sign the agreement to move forward with Frank, but then he actually talked us out of it!

Frank suggested we talk to a realtor first because new windows may not add any value to our home - he recommended Amie Hautz of Century 21 Bamber Realty. After speaking with Amie, she confirmed Frank’s initial comments and suggested we use our investment amount on our new home, instead of needlessly spending it on windows for current home.

Both Frank and Amie could have easily taken advantage of our position, each in their own way – but instead they operated with great integrity, which we think is the most important thing you can look for when choosing a general contractor. With all that's gone on in the home construction industry, it's hard to know who to trust and we are so thankful we went to Kurmak first.

Nadine and I never truly got the opportunity to thank you for all you have done for us. I think after our project was completed, we left for holidays the next day. Upon our return, we just sat back and enjoyed our home.

Frank, your entire crew were fantastic to work with. Glenn and Stuart were just incredible - so professional, but at the same time they were like family here, and Kyle orchestrated what seemed to be miracles for us. I know working with us had its challenges as we are shift workers with young kids and pets in the home, and all the other usual obstacles - but you guys managed it all professionally and promptly.

We are so glad to have shared our project with you. We need to make special note of the day Glenn stayed until almost 8pm resolving a small unpredictable issue that developed. Then, Kyle delayed his vacation departure dealing with another unavoidable situation; this sort of customer dedication is unheard of in today's workforce.
