repair furnace that was not working

The work seemed to be completed very well. Several days later it was minus 30, both furnaces stopped working, it was 10 degrees in the house and we called them. Their response call a plumber. They called one and he did nothing except tap a valve and give us another invoice. Very poor. Will be looking for someone else next time as their follow up is non existent especially during a critical time.

Furnace and vent cleaning

After reading a few reviews on your site I decided to make a few calls of my own. I found the best price out there was one provided by a company that you only had a five star rating called "Duct Blasters" The price was set at 129.95 and 9.95 each additional vent. I live in a small 850 square feet and it only cost me 149.85 plus tax. I found them to be very professional and they did a great job.

duct cleaning

When I received a quote over the phone for $169.95 I figured they would do a pretty thorough job of cleaning my ducts. The total bill came to $267.44 for nothing more than a "blow and go" duct cleaning. Coming to the job a half hour late isn't a good start and when they were finished "cleaning my ducts" I went to a bedroom to look at the fresh air return and it wasn't even touched. Still had my finger mark in the dust I made before they came. Makes you think how many more ducts did they miss? They did a poor job sealing the large hole they cut into my furnace ducting for the vacuum hose and to finish it off after they had left I noticed they left my side gate open and the big black vacuum hose was left there. I phoned the owner to tell him they left their hose at my house and was not happy with the job I just paid for and he said he would give me a refund which he never lived up to. Terrible all around. I don't recommend them and will never use Duct Blasters again. Do your homework folks before getting anyone into your house to do anything.

Duct Blasters

They did an excellent job at my place! They did the Viper Clean Sweep, cleaned 2 fireplaces, furnace, Bypass-A/C.
After, I had the service done, their was another company on Global News being questioned by Tony Tighe for working without a license. That company was using a name similar to these guys, I seen the phony company used entry level compressors...
Not Duct Blasters these guys they had top of line equipment, were licensed and very professional! I'm having them do another house for me!

Duct Blasters Furnace Cleaning

I had Duct Blasters come and do my vents and furnace they were very professional on time and very polite I would have Duct Blasters come to my home again. They even went as far as helping a single mom fix a broken dryer vent and hook it back up at no charge.

Furnace/humidifier/fireplace cleaning

Not impressed. Had them out early in October (after getting bumped once before because their truck wasn't working). They were not overly clean or careful with the big hoses on the hardwood floors. To me they should have put tarp down to protect the floor.

Since my fireplace was cleaned it is not working. When I called them they told me they could make an appointment but not until the following week. The evening of the appointment they called to inform me that they don't fix fireplaces and would have to get another company out to look at it. Now I have to wait almost 4 weeks for that other company to come out and look at it. So my fireplace will not be functioning for 7 weeks.

Furnace servicing, duct cleaning

They showed up 25 minutes late.
When removing my screen window, to bring their lines through, the tech couldn't figure out how to take the screen out. he began bending the screen so i had to intervene.
i put some filters across some of the vents as an interim measure as the ducts were filthy when i moved into the house. instead of taking 10 seconds to pull them out, the tech instead blasted the first one down the duct work where it inevitably became stuck.
They drilled extra holes in my duct work near the furnace to blast compressed air, instead of using the existing ones.
When i quizzed the tech, his response was 'the more holes the better'. then he proceeded to drill holes in spots that he could not utilize properly afterward, which seemed even more foolish.
when servicing my furnace, the blower was reinstalled poorly so that the bottom cover on the furnace would not close/seal properly. I noticed it as the furnace whistled loudly once the weather turned cold and i turned it on. I could hear it from the second level, while my furnace is in the basement behind a closed door. Obviously it was quite loud.
I never had this problem before they serviced it.
I called and someone was supposed to return to help figure out why the furnace was whistling so loudly, but never did. I eventually adjusted things myself, which seemed to improve things a bit.
Also when they re-installed caps in the duct work where the holes were drilled, some of the caps were popping out before they even left.
When i asked them to tape them up, they tried to blame it on the companies that serviced the furnace in prior years stating that they must have drilled the holes too large for the caps. However I never had this problem until they serviced the furnace and I think the cause was more related to how they bent the duct work around these holes with their tools.
They complained about running late because I made them put tape across the holes, but an hour earlier they were trying to sell me an extra service to clean my fireplace. How would they have had the time?
They failed to leave a sticker on the furnace indicating the service date. I've asked twice if they could send one in the mail, but have received nothing in over a month.
On a positive note, the ducts are a lot cleaner.

Duct Blasters

Booked this company to clean furnace. When they arrived, they recommended the humidifier to be serviced as well as the gas fireplace. We went for the whole package. After they left, I checked the humidifier, it wasn't touched as scale was present as we're the filters dirty.
I checked the fireplace and the front was not installed properly, when I opened it up to look, it was obviously been looked at, but was poorly done.
As for the furnace, we were charged for vents we did not have, and when checking, they didn't clean some we did have.
Tried calling to discuss, we were refunded the humidifier charge, but they would no longer return my calls about the fireplace.
Buyer beware here, would not trust this company !!!

Furnace/Duct Cleaning

We had Duct Blasters do the ducts/furnace/air conditioner/fireplace in our home and were not completely satisfied. There were vents in our home that we purposely put rags into to see if they'd be pulled out and cleaned, they weren't. We were upsold on cleaning our fireplace and when we tried to refuse the gentleman said "well its your house to burn down I guess". I wouldn't have this company back nor would I refer them.
