We hired Domilya Group to do our renovation this past September. Rachid Malki and his team were very professional and courteous throughout the entire renovation project. We were sceptical that the project would be finished in the amount of time communicated to us however we were wrong to be sceptical. The project was completed as it was explained to us, there were no surprises or no unnecessary delays. The quality of the workmanship is outstanding and actually exceeded our expectations. I would not hesitate to hire Domilya again, in fact we are already speaking to them about our next renovation project.

From the first time we met Rachid we sensed that he was capable, reliable and open to our input. As a result, we contracted with domilya Group to renovate the main floor of our house, including removing a supporting wall, hardwood throughout, tiling and painting kitchen cupboards. They looked after getting permits and having required inspections done. For two and a half weeks, Rachid and his team showed up every morning on time including some weekends and stayed each evening until the work was completed and cleaned up. Rachid’s attention to detail showed up in the quality of the end result and he does not take short cuts. His experience and skill was demonstrated in handling unexpected situations, such as uneven floors when the wall was removed. He and his workers were very friendly and respectful. The project was completed on time and within budget and the end results were more than we expected. We would not hesitate to recommend domilya Group and would hire them again for any future projects. The whole experience was more than positive.

We recently hired the Domilya Group for a complete reno of our kitchen and master bathroom. Not only did they finish the job on time and on budget, but the quality of the work was amazing and exceeded our expectations. Rachid, Heba and the whole team were so warm and approachable throughout and made it easy for us to stay in the house during the renovation. They were especially meticulous with keeping everything as clean as possible and made a point of tidying up every night, not just at the end of the job. They answered every question we had throughout and always ensured we were happy with elements as they were installed. Plus they dealt with any surprises that came up proactively and always with the goal of minimizing stress to us. We love both rooms and they made the process so easy that we're already thinking about the next project we'd like them to tackle!

We needed a new wall, new door way to connect two rooms and some work in an apartment kitchen. We needed someone to do some big parts of the project but we are doing the rest. Even though it was a small project for them, they made us feel like we were really important. They started and finished when they said they would, they were always very nice and easy to work with. The work when completed was what we asked for and more. They did little things that we didn’t ask for and were not expecting but we are very appreciative of the work. It has helped us immensely. We would work with domilya group again.

We hired Domilya Group to finish our basement, design and install a bathroom and reconfigure our laundry room. The work they did was exceptional and beyond our expectations. The team is all about service and careful attention to your needs. The word that best describes them is professional. When you are making that significant investment in your home, it is such a relief and pleasure to hire professionals who care about the end product as much as you do.

Aside from the work, the Domilya team are considerate, respectful and polite. You actually miss them when the job has been completed.

After extensive research and reading many positive reviews, we hired Domilya Group to complete our basement project, paint the rest of our home and remodel our powder room. Rachid and his team were very easy to work with and made our experience with them very pleasurable.

House upgrade before the sale of my house

I was selling my house and had Rachid and his team do a full upgrade of my home. Rachid gave me his expertise of what to do and what buyers would be looking for.
I followed his advice with a colour scheme and what renovations to do. I ended up with a bidding war and receiving $18,000 over my asking price! It was completely unexpected but very much appreciated.
His taste and attention to detail was exceptional! Thanks Rachid and domilya GROUP for doing an amazing job! You are simply the best.

Domilya Group is the outstanding company that has done a lot of work for me over this past year. I put my Burlington home up for sale, purchased a fixer-upper townhouse in Oakville, and spent the winter in Florida while my interior decorator Cynthia Taylor-Luce and Rachid Malki of Domilya Group looked after my properties. Cynthia had spoken very highly of them and they all enjoy working together as a team.

The townhouse was pretty much gutted, with a wall taken down to make the main floor completely open-concept. Ceilings were taken down and indirect lighting and speakers were installed. The dangerous old gas fireplace was removed and entirely rebuilt with a new insert and surround with a niche for my flat-screen fitted above. A new kitchen was fitted into the space, and hardwood was installed throughout.

Upstairs the family bathroom was completely replaced and the master bedroom closet removed and rebuilt to incorporate wiring for a flat-screen television facing into the bedroom. The stair-rail and spindles were painted as well as every wall and ceiling in the house.

Everything came together without a hitch, and I had no concerns about the work being done in my absence. In fact, my new neighbours made sure I heard how impressed they were with Rachid’s company. They were very careful not to disturb the neighbours in the complex and even took the trouble to shovel out the next-door neighbour’s walkway and porch during some of the worst storms. They built lots of good-will over the period they were working there.

During this same time period, some serious issues arose with the Burlington house. There was water leaking into the dining room which the real estate agent discovered when he took someone through for a showing. Rachid stopped the water coming in from outside and brought in a roofing specialist who discovered a builder’s fault that caused an ice build-up. All this was taken care of while I was away, and Rachid and his team fixed the interior drywall and painted it so it looked like nothing had ever happened there.

I had another issue in the Burlington property where I had had the air conditioner replaced and the installer I hired ran the duct work right across the basement family room ceiling. It looked terrible. I asked Rachid if he could box it in with drywall and make it look better. He did better than that—he had the ductwork removed and reinstalled through a bulkhead that already existed at the end of the room. I couldn’t believe, when I saw it after the drywall was all fixed and painted, that there had ever been a problem.

I have to say that I am very impressed by Rachid. He’s got a ‘can do’ attitude and nothing is too much trouble. When the wall was removed in my townhouse, there were pipes and wires exposed and I thought we’d have a huge problem. The kitchen was already ordered and if the wall wasn’t removable then the whole plan would fall apart. The same day that the wall was taken down, Rachid and his crew had rerouted the wires and pipes and built a bulkhead in the ceiling, which also accommodated the lighting for over the new island. Now that it’s all done, you’d never know there’d been a wall there, or that there had been any issues that had to be solved.

With my very positive experience of working with Domilya Group, I would not hesitate to recommend them for other renovation projects.

Rachid, owner of the company does absolutely excellent work. He and his team are very talented in many, many areas of renovations. They are punctual, courteous and hardworking. They always leave the job site very clean and safe. They have worked for me on several occasions and every project is done to perfection. I recommend them highly.
