The team at Great Dane are knowledgeable and people oriented. We had a number of repairs to address in our home - overhead fan, control switches, under-counter lighting. Thomas assessed and ordered the parts required, with Jeff completing the repairs effectively and efficiently according to our schedule.. A great company to work with.

We had Great Dane come out and install some outdoor lighting on a garage and patio. Thomas was very attentive and his work was excellent. Their costs were competitive and the work was done on time and budget. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone needing electrical services.

I will never have this company in my house again. I needed my aluminum wiring updated. The owner sent an unqualified electrician who knew nothing about aluminum. Then the owner came in order to resolve the situation. He said he was an expert in aluminum, but only knows the outdated method of updating with purple twist-on merettes that is no longer recommended by the industry as a good long term solution. I just can't trust his knowledge and wouldn't recommend him.

Once again Martin did a great job in reasonable time. He arrived on time with all the necessary equipment. He is also very polite and helpful as always.l

Great Dane was fantastic!!

From the quote to the end of the job, Great Dane arrived on time, were professional, polite and talked to me about what they were planning to do and why so that I understood the reasons things were being done. For example, they suggested smaller pot lights than the 6" ones I originally wanted. They gave me reasons that made sense - there would be a lot of heat generated by the lights and smaller ones would be more than sufficient for the amount of light needed - and that I hadn't considered. It helped me learn and saved me money.

Throughout my entire renovation Great Dane was the only contractor who adhered to their scheduled start and end dates. If they were going to be late or not able to make it I was notified, usually in advance, which showed me a great respect for my time. They actively followed up with me to schedule their finish work rather than just waiting on me to call them and trying to slot me into a busy schedule. It made me feel important, both to them as a their customer and to me that I wasn't just another pay cheque but that my job was important to them.

They advised me of any issues they ran into (fortunately, very few) and told me in advance of any changes that were required and the approximate costs associated with it. It allowed me to plan for and be aware of changes to the final bill as they happened so there were no surprises at the end.

The work was done quickly, it was clean, they cleared away all refuse and made sure every single outlet and switch were working before they left the job site. I have been in touch with a couple questions since and always get a prompt response.

We are tenants in a home and our landlord contacted Martin from out of province to arrange work to be done. From my first contact everything was great. Very punctual and stayed in contact prior to arrival to say he would arrive in 30 minutes. All work was done quickly and professionally with not mess left behind! Martin even replaced a broken plug cover he noticed in the hallway. I have dealt with many trades throughout the years while owning income properties and doing renovations and Martin is by far the best I have ever worked with. Will keep his card and would recommend to anybody who needs an electrician. Whole experience was a pleasure from start to finish.

We found Thomas and Martin professional and patient and thorough. They answered all of our questions and never seemed hurried. We had one other quote for this job but Great Dane was more reasonably priced and we just liked their personality better. Also, they were punctual and had excellent follow up service.
