I first heard about the services of Irene at Design Happens, when she helped friends of ours choose new paint colors for the interior of their home. The transformation was beautiful …what a difference the right color paint makes in a room. So when it was time to update in our home, I called Irene to consult with … in the past I would have gone to Home Depot, been overwhelmed by the thousands of paint chips, and chosen my favorite color without any consideration to the woodwork, flooring, furniture, lighting, etc. I probably wouldn’t have even looked at the colors Irene suggested …but they were and are perfect! This lady knows her stuff!! She suggested paint colors, organized the painters, brought samples of flooring, organized the installation of the new flooring, suggested window covering options and organized the measuring and installation. Irene is amazing with color! She has helped 3 other family members pick colors and design their homes. So, when I got my place she was the first person I called. She listens to your likes and dislikes and takes into consideration everything: location, lighting, accent colors, current furnishings and future purchases. Not only did she help me pick colors to make my home feel like ME, she also had great ideas on decorating and furniture placement. She knows what stores to shop at and where the best deals can be found. You never think picking paint is stressful till you are sitting on the floor of your living room surrounded by 50 paint swatches thinking to yourself “how can there be so many versions of white?!?” Irene takes that stress away!
