Doktor Handyman

KC and his company just completed a renovation at our house. We hired his company, "Doktor Handyman" to replace tile in our shower and repair a few other odds and ends.

We are very pleased with the results! Our shower is tiled, clean, and now has an updated, modern look. Our project was handled professionally and with attention to detail. We highly recommend KC. He was punctual, dedicated to completing the job to our satisfaction, honest and fair in his dealings with us.

We have no hesitation in recommending KC and his company for home renovations, and would not hesitate to use them again in the future!

We recently had work done in our kitchen, that involved the installation of pot lights and ceiling painting/repairs. This was the only company that truly listened to our wants and made sure to explain all possible options and limitations . KC, Aly and their crew, are trustworthy, courteous and a hard working group of craftsman.A rarity these days. My home was left tidy and immaculately clean after they completed the project. The end was everything and more than I was hoping for. Thank you! We would definitely use this company again and would recommend them without reservation. I don't have enough working in my vocabulary to describe my appreciation.

I was looking for someone to assist with small home repairs at my rental property, and KC and his team did not disappoint. They were quick to respond to the request and completed the job in about two business days. The work exceeded my expectations - high quality work, and they left the place spotless! As part of the job there was a tricky electrical problem, KC was able to get an electrician on-site with minimal notice (on a weekend no less). I would not hesitate to have Doktor Handyman back for any job, and strongly recommend their services. KC is now on speed dial :)

A few years ago Doktor Handyman and his staff did an excellent job on my downtown Toronto condo. I've been having some health issues in the meantime and was not able to review earlier. The prices were amazing, his staff were very good, and he was a very kind and honourable person who was honest with what needed doing.

I hired KC and his crew to do some work on a rental property which we own. The good service started with KC taking a walk through the house to assess the repairs I knew were needed and I also asked him for recommendations on any other work he say was needed.
I believe KC is an honest and honorable fellow because he reported back that some items were very minor and would cost next to nothing to fix. We then moved on to discuss the bathroom in the basement unit, which he said was moldy and in disarray.

For a cost of less than $8000, he and his workers tore out all the fixtures, reframed the space and then rebuilt the bathroom from the studs on up. He found excellent materials at bargain prices, and took all the worry out of it for me by keeping me informed nearly daily and by sending photos of the progress.

No cost overruns, no arguments, a clear desire to understand and meet my needs, timely progress, prompt return of calls and emails, and quality work - what more could you ask for? I will use KC's services again.

This is my second time with this outfit and KC and Aly, who came this time, were again professional. Not only they delivered on all their promises but also gave very useful suggestions on how to execute the jobs better than I had planned.

A great service and I would recommend it to anyone who wants work done around the house.

I think I will stay with them in the foreseeable future!

We own several higher end properties leased out as executive homes. We had a previous older gentleman who we used for many years to do all our repairs but had recently retired. We had an urgent repair job and I was out of town and had to scramble to find someone to look after the job immediately. Fortunately, I found Doktor Handyman. KC was a pleasure to deal with. He took charge of the situation on our behalf, completed the work quickly and very professionally, and most importantly kept his word about everything he said. The service was nothing less than outstanding. We started as a one time customers but are now lifetime clients. Very highly recommended.

Very simple little things like patching holes after lighting fixtures were stripped out, adjusting drape bar installation that I had completely bungled, leaky toilet.
Sam was on site in a flash and did very quick and effective work.

Once more I hired "Doktor Handyman," this time to install a new kitchen sink and bathroom ceiling fan. After careful measurements, both items were purchased on my behalf which I preferred as it saved me the time and effort trying to figure out which one to buy. Both items were installed with professional care. If you're looking for a handyman, look no further.

This is my first negative review for any service EVER. I can't believe the reviews on this site. Seriously. I after my experience with this guy I have to assume all of these reviews are written using fake accounts.

We had a mold problem that required partial demolition of our kitchen. I hired KC to help me put the kitchen back together and install a base cabinet for my kitchen sink, reinstall the sink/counter-top/dishwasher and fix some tiles on our back-splash.

I was quoted that the job would take less than a day to do. 11 days later and I'm left with the "quality craftsmanship" you can see in the attached picture. Isn't it beautiful??

We tried to be as patient as we could with KC, but time and time again he let us down. I can't count how many times he showed up late, or didn't even show up at all. Neglecting to even call us. Each time he came out to the house he promised it would be the last time, yet each time he found a way to stretch the labour even further and tell us he'd have to come back again. We had no choice but to fire him. After firing him our $800 quote mysteriously turned into an $1800 bill along with a series of threatening text messages.

He measured the cabinet wrong, I told him it was too large that I had bought the wrong one, but he said I was wrong and that I should trust him because he has 36 years of experience. Sure enough when it came time to put on the doors it was obvious the cabinet was too large. We spoke about a solution but the one provided was horrible and we simply had enough of the disappointments.

Please don't make the same mistake I did. Find someone else who to do what you need.
