We had a large and dangerously moving the front staircase and roots penetrating the house. Danger to the roof and too close to the overhead wires. After a lot of phoning around and becoming frustrated I tried Monkey Services. I would never want anyone else to do this job or more in the future. Friendly, professional and encouraging service. Initial quote scheduling took a while but service was prompt and professional when delivered. Knowledgeable and pleasant staff. They were honest about their view on chopping trees to a minimal ( my ask :0)and trimmed according to their standard. 4 Star only because I felt it still could have been trimmed shorter. Professional and reasonable rates. I would definitely recommend their service.

Our recently purchased townhouse had a mature evergreen Magnolia grandiflora in the middle of our parking space. Monkeytree helped us successfully navigate city hall to get a permit and then removed the tree quickly and efficiently. Their staff is knowledgeable, efficient and they provided excellent advice and service.

A most professional company. They looked after all the City permit application, removed the large cedar tree which was growing hard against the back fence and cleaned up beautifully. No damage at all to the fence. Very impressed and delighted.

Everything was explained and once my gigantic Sequoia was looking perfectly trimmed, I was given a chance to look at the work! These guys are great! Efficient, knowledgable , clean, tidy, and easy to work with . The crew did an amazing job thinning out this huge tree to allow more light into my back yard . I couldn't visualize it but they assured me that the tree would look great and I'd have more light . They were right. I'm sooo happy . It's the second time I have used them and both times have been positive experiences . They are also really good at cleaning up after themselves . Joel and his crew didn't waste any time and knew how to prune and clip the branches so the tree looked balanced . Highly recommend them!

Monkey Tree Services crew thinned and trimmed our four cedars on June 9, 2017, and later on June 16 for some follow up by request. We’re happy to have chosen them to deal with our trees that have overgrown to neighbor’s side, and had scary incident of a huge branch fallen onto the pedestrian walkway this past winter.
The company enjoyed fairly good online reviews, and we’re inclined to use them, being a BBB company. We spoke to over dozens of tree professionals before coming to a decision. Scott, their Certified Arborist, was the only two who correctly pointed out one of our trees could not be removed according to city bylaw. I took the time to go to the City of Vancouver to verify, and found out that the City also used them as well.
First day of work was efficient and smooth. Clean up was thorough. Joe and Colin were professional, friendly and helpful. When we needed some more follow-up, the company responded promptly.
The staff were understanding and accommodating to first time residential customer like us. I will recommend the company to my friends. In fact, my adjacent neighbor and my mom’s friend already obtained their contact regarding tree issues that they or their relatives have. We are happy to have chosen Monkey Tree Services Ltd. that has given us peace of mind because of their professionalism. We will go back to them for future tree works.
